HELLO!
Forgot that I actually have a blog, now that I'm super busy ever since I got back from Korea.
Home definitely is the place to be, no matter where you are. I can't believe I just talked about coming to Korea a year plus ago and here I am, back again. Proceeding to taking the next phase of my life. Gosh I sound so old now.. LOL

My entire study trip to Korea was definitely a beneficial one cause I finally got myself a job that requires the language as well as have the opportunity to work with Koreans. This Korean company that I'm in now is TOM N TOMS COFFEE.
I'm surprised I even got myself into this company cause i know NOTHING about coffee at all. But after being interviewed by the two manager from Korea, kinda made me realize how interesting it was and that Food and Beverage is part of my learning process in Tourism & Hospitality.

So yes.. this past few weeks, I've been attending training here and there to become one of the FIRST batch of newly trained Baristas. So far, I've learned how to make espressos, brewed coffee, lattes, TomNccinos, Ice and other hot beverages. Oh! And also handmade Pretzels and thick toasts. Really interesting, worth the trips to Pasir Panjang and Tuas. haha =)
Opening day's on the 10th. I won't say where though, go look it up yourself.

Right.. have to turn in early now. Will update again really soon, I hope!

So guess wad? Its like 10am here and I'm already on the net, doing last minute email checks and what not before I officially pack the laptop into my backpack.
That's right people! Heading home today after what seems like 10 years but its only been a year plus. haha =)
Of course I'm feeling all sorts again cause I'm both happy and a little sad. I mean don't get me wrong, my stay here in Korea has been one hell of a good one! People tell me I've turned into a Korean.. like hello? I am HALF KOREAN? LOL..

Well anyway, luggage's all packed up but I'm SOOOO worried about the weight issue. According to the weight i measured here, I've reached the weight limit of 20kg. And that my friends, is just one bag, i still have another one that needs to be checked in and that's another 10 kg. MADNESS! I hope I don't have to pay for excess baggage.. 1kg is like 50 dollars?

So in an hour or so, I'm gonna get ready to head out to town (for the last time) to have lunch at my aunt's restaurant, send my regards and all that.. and then to do very last minute shopping for some people. I completely forgot about that person.. I'm a bad human being =(
Will come back to my place again to do final packing and then I'm off to the airport! Flights at 7pm Seoul time so I should arrive at Changi Airport at around 1am plus SG time.
The first person I can't wait to see is my dear Daddee! I've missed him the most since I haven't seen him in a while..

Right.. I guess I should go get ready now. Will update again tomorrow if I'm able to.. haha =)

Hello good people!
Apologies for not updating these past few weeks, as usual.. been busy with school and all since its coming to the end of the term. Which by the way is AWESOME for me, cause I finally get to go home in a week! Yayness! My trip here is coming to an end, I'm actually having mixed feelings these past few days. I mean, I DID stay here for slightly more than a year and did so many memorable stuff that I'm bound to feel this way.

So I just got back from shopping. Bought a couple of things for friends and family.. It'll be nice to buy something for myself but I'm kinda tight on cash cause I'm saving it for my Grand mama. =)
Just so you know, its autumn now. Leaves are like all over the place, its crazy! But it kinda reminded me of my first autumn last year. haha. Weather ain't that cold but will expect it pretty soon. I kinda packed all my winter stuff and left one out. The rest will be kept at my grandma's when I go there this weekend..Can't wait!

Right, I would love to update more but unfortunately.. i got nothing on my hands now. Infact, I'm about to head out to the mall nearby since they've already started decorating the place in CHRISTMAS theme.. I'mma go check it out and if possible, snap some pictures of it. =)

This week has been extremely tiring.. I'm so exhausted cause of school, there's a million and one things yet to be done and I'm not so sure about completing them anymore.
Thankfully, there's only a couple of weeks left of school as well as my stay here in Korea. One year's passed so quickly that its kinda freaking me out and yet.. I came here, did what I had to do, obtained that diploma I wanted.
Now, with only till Mid Nov.. I get to go home, see my family and friends again after a year.

Personally, I think this trip's 'opened' my eyes abit. It takes a person to be away with something he or she is so comfortable with, to realize the reality of it all.
And that 'reality' I'm sorta thinking about it now. Questions like, do I continue studying? Or do I start work immediately? Its all coming back to me now.. which drives me INSANE i tell you.

What does girl have to do, to get some peace and relaxation in her life man? haha
Well anyway, I hope ya'll had a great weekend, I know I didn't. Hopefully next weeks gonna be better than the previous. Fingers crossed!

Could life get any worse?
I've just completed my mid-term exams.. certain results din come out the way I expected which is a clear BUMMER to me cause I never understood how Sogang's or rather any other school in Korea's Education System works here.
So the teacher and I sat down to review on how I did for my exams.. its a PASS no doubt but my teacher's afraid if I don't "pull-up-my-socks" for the Finals, there's a possibility I might bring my whole average down. What I don't get is.. why the hell is 70% considered a just pass to them?
I did hear from close source that nowadays, 70% is considered a just pass.
Like what the fuck? Does this make any sense? Its like MORE than a 'just pass' lah.. Chirst.

Well anyway, I told myself not to get upset over the whole issue and just do as I'm told. Get this done and over with so I may have an EASED mind once I graduate and head home in a matter of 4 weeks! That's definitely not long.. I've been here for a little over a year now. That's the expiration contract I made with my parents cause apparently they want me home to
concentrate on my academic studies now. That I can deal with?? haha =)

So I did my FINAL laser treatment on Thursday and GOD does it so hurt so bad this time. They did it right my eyes which hurts the most cause its sensitive area, as well as the other areas of my face. Had to endure the uncomfort-ness of being bandaged up all over for almost 20 hours.. couldn't take a shower which just irks me so bad.. I couldn't eat anything solid cause I couldn't even open my mouth BIG BIG. haha =)
But I survived that tormented ordeal.. got the bandages removed yesterday.. SWOLLEN like hell when I looked in the mirror. I'm afraid of my own reflection. haha =) Got home and stayed indoors the whole day.

Same thing today.. spend the whole afternoon sleeping in cause the weather made me so sleepy. It had been raining like mad last night.. more like a STORM actually, with the thunder and lightning happening.
Wanted to get all my homework done today, but I only managed to finish half of it cause too many good movies were showing on the telly. * Sigh..

Right.. more updates soon. Daddee wants to skype with me! Monetary issues I'm afraid. haha !

Greetings..
If u can see me right now, you'd like to think I look HIDEOUS.
Yes, its that time of the year again when I contract the flu virus. My nose is leaking like a tap my face has lost colour and I think I have a temperature and I feels as though I've swallowed marbles and it got stucked in my throat.

My guess is its due to the weather. Its definitely FALL now.. leaves have turned yellow and starting to fall off the tree. Obviously weather's turned cold.. even in my room. I see no use with the electric fan no more. haha
Wanted to head out but since I caught the flu, figured it stay at home and continue preparing for that interview exam. I totally hate it! I mean back in Yonsei, all we had to prepare was 3 different situations. But Sogang? We had to do the same thing except instead of three, we had to prepare 16 questions and worse, MEMORIZE all of them.
Seriously, is that even possible? Jezus..

Anywho, after not logging onto the computer the whole afternoon.. i did so about an hour ago. Got onto Yahoo.sg and saw the most shocking thing! I saw Pilar's picture and titled,

'THE NEW MISS SINGAPORE WORLD 2009, PILAR ARLANDO'.
Was so amazed and surprisingly Happy for her. I dunno why but ya..
Well, to be honest, she did deserve it? Unlike that Ris Low chick. I don't wanna mention her but, serves her right.. haha =) So I guess she's on her way to South Africa for the Finals.. I wish her all the luck in the World that she win at least one title.. haha =)

Right then. I think i should pop some flu medicine and head to bed. Long day tomorrow.. gotta head out to get some stuff. MAFAN.

Happy 'MOONCAKE' Festival to everyone whose celebrating back home.. as well as
HAPPY 'CHUSEOK' DAY to all my Korean friends and Family!!

Here I am, on one of Korea's BIGGEST festive day, sitting on my ass at home doing nothing but "studying" the whole day as well as surfing the net on and off. Seriously, this day CANNOT get worse. Was suppose to be at Grandma's on Thurs and spend the weekend there but I tried getting tickets for all sorts of transport, no use. I realize later that people started booking tickets to the country side like more than a MONTH ago.. okay, so I guess I learnt my lesson.
ALWAYS BOOK TICKETS EARLY WHEN IT COMES TO FESTIVE DAYS.

On the other hand, not going to Grandma's is kinda of a good thing too. Don't get me wrong, I love my grandma to death ( Mariah said I was being MEAN..) but my exams are coming up in a week and I've yet to seriously get started on studying yet. Which was why I intended to this next four days of Holidays. We get Friday off from school however, I totally blew it when i slept in the WHOLE entire day.

So last night, I set my alarm to 10am. Got up, took my shower and straight away started studying. Towards lunch time, got hungry but din have anything to eat. The ahjummah at my place left for her 'kampung' on Thurs and won't be back till Sunday, so basically NO FOOD for a few days. Went out to the main street to grab food from somewhere. Jesus Christ man.. DESERTED! No sign of anyone.. no stores being open. All this at 12.30pm!
Its like scenes from 'I AM LEGEND'.. hahah =) Well anyway, the only fast joint opened was obviously McDonalds.. Thank the 'Lord Almighty' for that. Grab myself a big mac, and walked home carrying it.

Got back to studying till evening. Found Jackiee online so we web-cammed. Finally got to see my little cousins LIVE instead of darn pictures. They happened to be at my uncle's place celebrating my Mama's 70th Birthday.. Got the chance to wish her too, which was a relieve.. turning 70 is a big thing I guess. So chatted a while before getting off. But I'm currently still talking to my sister.
Couple of good movies showing on TV now. Shall take a break from studying.. haha =)

OH MY GOD..

TOTM finally came today, but having gone through terrible cramps this afternoon..I seriously wished it didn't. Why do women have to go through all this?
"Cause God made us that way.." Perfect.

I seriously never get bored when it comes to meeting Jodi-lynn like almost everyday. Perhaps the fact that her departure from Korea is well on the way and the thought of her leaving and probably NEVER gonna see her again, might be the reason.
She buzzed me on my cell this morning saying that we should go out for lunch and a movie.
I was so intending on staying in, since I was practically PARALYZED from the waist down. But ditched the idea in the end. Got up, BARELY made it to the bathroom..Got dressed and ready.

Met her at the Theater's ticketing booth. I'm so thankful when JL made me take this exceptionally effective pain-killers for the cramps. It like totally disappeared in less than 20 minutes. We got tickets to watch "FAME".. it was alright, but I think the musical was WAY WAY better. But i have to say, the music got me all heated up inside. Loved everyone of it. Definitely gonna download the whole album soon.

After the movie.. had lunch at some Chicken House. Walked around Ewha Uni.. JL got herself a number of things. I however, got my ear pierced.
Funny story actually, I went to the store where I usually buy earrings and other accessories. So I chose the earring i wanted and where it should be pierced on my ear. The 'Ahjummah', got me settled down and ready.. I wasn't scared or anything cause I've done it a couple of times. But before she started..

Cat: Ahjummah.. you'll be using a piercing-gun right?
Ahjummah: Nope.. I'm literally gonna pierce it in with the stud..
Cat: WHAT?! ( that's when I got scared.. and asked JL to hold my hand )
Ahjummah: It won't be painful.. it'll be over before you know it..
Cat: Okay, at least count me in. ( at the same time, telling JL was gonna happen..)
Ahjummah: Done.

PIERCED...

I was like... what? That was it?
She just applied alcohol and some cream (with gloves on, of course..) onto the stud and pierced her way into the ear. I bet my bottom dollar, there was some technique going on there..
It sorta hurt a little after a while but seriously, compared to the use of the gun? The gun was much more painful than the Manual way. AMAZING.. I still cannot believe it just happened like that.

Came home.. got online. Currently watching the last few episodes of Season 4 'Ghost Whisperer'.
Did I mention Melinda Gordon's husband, JIM.. is actually quite charming?
Yeah, I might have said that somewhere in earlier posts of this blog. haha =)

I'm so Happy to say this..
THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!

Today was a pretty hectic day. School in the morning as usual.. friday's are the worst at school cause we had reviews done on that day. All 6 Chapters of work had to be revised and I hate it!
Well who likes it in the first place??

I walked over to JL's place right after school since we were to have lunch together and that she needed help getting ready for her Presentation Forum which obviously, I was invited to. Had pasta and grilled chicken which I volunteered to cook since she's busy preparing her speech and all that. Went upstairs to the Lecture Hall where the Forum was to take place, hung up pictures of various Korean Traditional Masks. That took like an hour plus.
Came back down again and got all ready dressed for the Presentation. People started coming in like 7-ish and it turned out to be quite a crowd actually.

Overall, she did a FANTASTIC job. Hard work definitely paid off..
The best part about this whole thing? The office called in food caterers and LORD ALMIGHTY, food that I haven't got to eat in almost a year now.. were all spread over the table.Serious!
We're talking about NUGGETS, TOTS, GREEN SALAD, LASAGNA, CORN CHIPS & DIP, ROASTED HAM and plenty more but I forget. haha.
Just made my day man.. I was so happy.

After clearing up the place, took the bus back. Only got home a couple of minutes ago..
I figured I'd quickly get this done before I forget what actually happened today.
Alright.. off to go take a shower and crash into bed after that.

2 weeks and I haven't once updated.. You can say I was either too busy and totally forgot OR, too busy and yet I couldn't be bother to update. haha

Anyway, these past few weeks have been pretty hectic. The fact that I gotta wake up so damn early in the morning to go to school just irks me so bad. But of course, I can't do nothing about it except to study hard and do well for my exams and then HOPEFULLY return to Singapore with a clear conscious. 7 more weeks to endure all these.. I think I can handle it. haha

So today, I did the CRAZIEST thing ever. After careful consideration, I decided to chop my locks off. =) haha..
Met JL, then made our way for lunch first at 'THUNDER BURGERS' and then to the hairdresser's. The style's completely different. Something I've never done before man.. haha
JL took some pictures but I've yet to receive them.. so wait for it!
Spent the rest of the evening shopping for clothes at the famous Itaewon. Got two tops that I thought was a great deal.. Wanted to get this GORGEOUS denim skirt that I saw but I din think it was wise to be spending so much money all in one day.

I figured if I wait till AFTER Chuseok ( Korea's Thanksgiving).. I'd probably save some money and then just MAYBE get that skirt. hehehe..
Had some Mexican cuisine for dinner at some restaurant. OMG.. their burritos are seriously FANTASTIC man.. way better than Dad's. Anyway, after dinner.. took the bus back. Came home just in time for my weekend drama series. That show is getting way interesting by the week, wonder what's gonna happen at the end of it. Only 3 more episodes to go!

Okay.. parents must be out, somewhere in Singapore. Probably at Uncle Mike's or something.
Wonder if I should wait for them to show them my new look. But then again, i'm dead tired. I need my long, beauty sleep that I yearn so much over the week. haha.

Hello my good people..
Its finally the weekend!! I'm quite surprised it went by so slow.. maybe cause I started school and all. Did I mention that? Well ya, I started the 'NEW' school term again on Thursday and I'm happy to say that all my sub teachers are the one's who taught me during Summer College.

Classmates were friendly people. Obviously majority of them are Japanese, not that I'm complaining or anything. Anyway, the past two days of school have been rather "slack".. alot of meetings and orientations I had to attend which took up like the ENTIRE afternoon. Now mom's even telling me to sign up for tuition classes there. Arghhhh..

Today. Din do much in the afternoon.. din even do my homework. Oh Jesus.
Towards the evening.. got dressed and went out to meet JL for out usual MOVIE DATE. Ate KFC for dinner before watching 'THE PROPOSAL'.

I would say the movie's O-KAY lah.. I mean, Sandra Bullock's definitely AGING.. but funny as always. Ryan Reynolds looked HOT in this particular one.. I dunno why. I can't believe he's married to Scarlett Johansson.. She of all PEOPLE! Haha
Anyway, the whole PLOT to this movie is just UNREALISTIC.. you know?

Did a little bit of cosmetic shopping afterwards. So happy I finally got myself eye-serum for my dark rings.. and alot of other stuff too. Even got Mariah's present which I think she will like.. well, she better?!
Came home after that.. bummed in front of the computer, talking to mom and dad via webcam. Talked to Mariah too.. haha =)

What up ya'll?
A week's passed and life just could not get any better.. Sorry, I was being sarcastic there. Really.. the past week has been so effing boring! I swore I could have just slept the entire 7 days and not get up at all. Infact, I was sure I was gonna stay indoors cause you go out, you wallet comes out as well.. if u catch my drift. LOL

Anywho.. thankfully, certain things had to be done which required me to go outside. First, I had to make a trip down to the immigration office to get my Student VISA done. When I got there, it was as though I ran myself into a Stadium full of people! It was massive man! I hadn't seen that many people in on place since the last concert I went to back in Singapore. That day was the only day I could get my passport done so leaving that place was an no obligation. I sat there for 3 hours till my queue number came up. Jesus.. my arse hurt so much from sitting.

Just yesterday, finally caught up with my two buddies whom I haven't met in the LONGEST time ever cause they had their own thing going on. We had a FANTASTIC lunch at VIPS Restaurant..currently one of my favourite dinning places of all time. LOL
So we ate, drank, talked in various languages and basically just did ordinary young adults would do. After which we all left cause they had work ( on a Saturday..) and I didn't. So in the evening, went to watch 'My Life In Ruins' the movie with JL.

It wasn't so bad until I noticed the main MALE LEAD! I never understood why I am always attracted to older, good looking men. WHY?! haha.. I bet Mariah's asking that same exact question.. She kept asking me that a long time ago.

Well anyway, I'm posting his pic here so that I won't forget him. haha =) HOT RIGHT?!?!?! Fella's name is Alexis Georgoulis.. Greek!
Admire him all you want Ladies.. this picture's staying here till the day I die. LOL

Couple of things happened out of the ordinary today..

First of all, I was up at 5am cause as usual, I couldn't sleep at all. Dogs kept yapping and babies kept crying.. there was just NO WAY one can ever sleep with those racket going on outside. So instead of just staying in bed, waiting for the sun to come up ( well actually, it did rise a little..) I figured, I could use some breakfast. I hadn't eaten the whole of the night before and I was getting pretty hungry then too.
Got out of bed, got dressed and walked across the street to McDonald's. Bought me self pancakes and an egg-mac-muffin with coffee at the side. I haven't had that for the LONGEST time man.. its good to have finally eaten something familiar from home.

Came home again. Obviously couldn't go back to sleep so I just 'surrendered' myself to the computer the ENTIRE day. Sent out a couple of emails to the Uni as well as enquiry letters to a number of schools back in Singapore. So many things have to be done once I return to Singapore end of this year.. MAFAN.

So anyway, since I was bored and all.. I decided to watch a couple of movies online. I happened to watched CHUCKY movie series on telly two days ago. I finally managed to finish the last one which is 'THE SEED OF CHUCKY' and to my surprise, it wasn't scary at all.. just very gruesome. To think I spent so many years trying to avoid myself from watching CHUCKY movies. SHEESH. -___-

Right.. I'm like totally multi-tasking right now. Writing an eentry to this blog as well as chatting with 4 people all at the same time. Gotta end here now. More updates soon.

As promised.. I'm back! haaha =)
And guess wad? I've been awake for 28 hours now.. I din get to sleep last night just because I couldn't. You can probably say that I'm thinking too much, which is true. When I tend to think too much, I can't sleep at all! Counting sheep, drinking water, doing crunches all seem to work for me now. Its how my mind works really.

Anyway, I turned off my com last night or rather this morning at 2am.. tucked myself to bed, but couldn't sleep so I was on the com again at 630am.
Towards the 11am, got dressed and ready to get coffee at Starbucks. Hung out there for an hour before making my way to Central Seoul for my yet another appointment at the dermatologist hospital. So far I've only liked this part of the whole procedure which is a 2 hour long facial session. OH MAN. I could have sworn I slept on that comfy bedding while they were massaging my face. SO SOOTHING! Not to mention this ahjummah next to me SNORING AWAY. hahah..

After my facial, my face felt to soft and supple.. but I had to do a minor laser again on certain areas. Abit painful but was not as bad as the MAJOR one. Since it was a small one, i din have to be bandaged up.. just walked out of the hospital. Figured I'd take the bus back to Sinchon since I saw a familiar bus number that headed that direction. Taking the bus is good.. better than the subway. At least you get to see thing OUTSIDE. Its a pity i din bring along my camera.. I passed no.63 building today and it was quite close! lol.

Came home (sweating) after buying some stuff that Van wanted. I'll have to mail them tomorrow so that she gets it ASAP. Did a little bit "house" chores before sitting infront of the computer. SHEESH.. know wad irritates me the most? The fact that they want BILINGUAL candidates for various jobs, but in brackets state ENGLISH AND CHINESE. What the hell?
Bilingual specifically means one and any other language. Check the dictionary people!! Its so not fair.. I might as well have studied Mandarin rather than Korean. Not that I'm regretting. lol

Oh well.. i end here. I seriously need to turn in early tonight.

Things cannot get any more boring around here.
These past week I've done nothing but stay indoors for fear I'll burn myself with the scorching heat outside. Seriously, its so effing warm that its almost possible to fry an egg outside. Let alone a whole AMERICAN BREAKFAST that includes toast and bacon. haha..

I apologize for the irregular post. Its looks like I'm giving up this blog soon. Like no point sia? So lazy to update and worse NOTHING to update so far..
But then again, I've kept this thing going on for a few years now.. it'd be a total waste to just throw it away right?

So anyway, recent happenings..

1. Watched the NATIONAL DAY PARADE live on the internet. I have to say, it was way better
than last years. GOOD JOB!
2. Did Laser Surgery on my face. Hurts like Fuck for two days with bandages around my entire
face. Looks pretty good right now. LOL
3. Sprained my right shoulder cause I stupidly used my elbow to puch myself out of bed. Again,
Hurts like fuck!
4. Caught PUBLIC ENEMIES in theaters. Johnny Depp could not get any more hotter than he
already is. FOO-YOOH!

Yeah. So that's pretty much it. Gotta start running errands tomorrow, things to buy, bills to pay.. doctors to visit. *sigh.
My life is so complicated right now. haha =) But good news to look forward to. Will let you in the details tomorrow. For sure. haha =)

Good day all!
Another week has passed.. I haven't really done anything except commit my time into concentrating on my studies for the Final Exams. Glad to say, it totally paid off!
A day after we got back our results, only a few of us passed and made it to Graduation. haha =)
The rest were like.. Let's say they " were not feeling well and din come to school as often as they should have.." kind of situation.

So yes. I'm done with the term and currently anticipating the 1 month long of holidays. I'm still thinking on what I should do during this time. Perhaps read those books Jackiee lovingly brought over here from Singapore.. or maybe even exercise! haha.
Since yesterday was the last day and everyone else is heading back to States soon, we figured we should party for the last time. Before that, met up with JL to watch G.I Joe the movie. Was good and Channing Tatum could never look as hot as he is now.

Today.. my entire Saturday was spent sleeping indoors. It was raining in the afternoon anyway, so why not right? lol
Right.. I'm gonna go watch some OLD TV series. Starting with Ally Mcbeal . haha =)

Oh wow.. I finally have time off for myself and to get my blog up and running again.
Yes, it has definitely been a while. Spare me the questions like "why no updates?" or "stop giving excuses!" cause honestly, these past two weeks has been total CHAOTIC. Talk about getting home every mother fucking day from school at 6pm, attend meetings and what not on Saturdays. Its madness i tell ya!

You'll be glad to know that I end my Summer term in the International College next week and holidays will begin from there. However, it kinda adds more stress on me NOW because the school's got a couple of things lined up like Graduation! And I've been ask by the teachers to help assist them in making that Ceremony possible. haha =) Other than that, classes were really interesting. Since there's only 5 peeps in the morning class, I find that I can concentrate better than when there's 15 people. Afternoon classes were a blast! Everyday, we're outside school, on the streets doing field work. Meaning we get to go to places, study and learn about them and then do a report about the place.

Yesterday was SUPER cool cause we got to go to Gyeongbok-Goong as part of our History assignment . It made it more exciting for me cause I hadn't gone there in like 10 effing years. Mind blowing with knowledge.. Fascinating.

Nehoos.. that's basically what i've done since the last I "spoke" here. haha.. There's much to say, but i'm currently having terrible cramps so bad..that I seriously need to lie down for a while. Till then, toodles!

Alright.. so its finally SUNDAY. My day started by getting up at noon.. (yeah yeah, you heard me..) AFTERNOON. Was gonna get up early this morning to attend church but I overslept. hehehe
I was surprised it didn't rain today which is unusual cause it had been raining non-stop since Monday. Went out to Hyundai Supermarket to grab some stuff.. FOOD that is! Apples, cornflakes, milk and of course, CUP-NOODLES.
Returned home, ate a little and basically chilled infront of the telly. They were showing so many good movies today. Movies that I didn't get to watch when it was out in theaters.

Don't get me wrong, I did not only SIT infront of the telly, did a little bit of cleaning as well. Got my curtains washed ( it was so effing dusty..), clothes washed, dried and folded. What else??
Uh.. oh! Threw out old books and papers that I didn't need. Cause i'm sure i'll be having a hard time, packing all these back when i get home. Which reminds me.. I've yet to announce certain things about my stay here in this blog. Will do that pretty soon, when I've got my mind all straightened out. ahaha =)

So towards evening at around 6pm, grabbed my novel i was reading.. took the bus to Sogang Uni, hung out ouside the chapel while reading the book. At 730pm, went in for Mass conducted in English.It was seriously a really short service. We're talking like 30-40 mins of it.
It is myunderstanding because there was so LITTLE people in Chapel today, that it didn't prolong to the usual 1 hour of mass. Walked home after that, skipped dinner.
Just finished up my homework.. and i'll be going to bed right after this.

Long day tomorrow. Individual report to prepare as well as the presentation with Matthew to work on. *sigh. Dread it.

Hey Guys.. (whoever's reading)

I'm officially HOMESICK again. Its like I can't stop thinking about home since the day mom and Jackiee left. Plus with all the recent happenings at home, I'm caught in a situation whereby I have to start making important decisions for good of myself as well as my family. Never really mentioned this earlier cause I obviously din have the mood too.haha. Oh. And the weather here is making it SO MUCH worse, I have no idea why. It had been raining non-stop for uh... i dunno, FORTY-RIGHT freakin hours?!?! Its madness I tell you..

Anyway, school's been great so far. I actually have to do reports and presentation on a weekly basis now. Something I haven't done in 'A' long time. haha =)
Classmates are a fun and not to mention whacky bunch of people. For some reason they're always telling me how clean and green Singapore is with their strict rules and all that. Not that they find it replusive.. but America should also be doing that as well.
So all you Singaporeans whose reading this, be proud to be one! Other people from various parts of the world are giving countless 'praises' to Singapore. Haha.

Right.. another long day at school tomorrow. We're supposed to be having a field trip for our afternoon class. This should be exciting now that I'm being partners with Matthew George.
*sigh. Lord I SOOOOOO need you by my side, every step of the way.

So guess wad? I got myself into deep shit with the Law here, in Korea.
Without realizing I had to change my information at Immigration BEFORE I change school, I went on thinking I can do it AFTER I started classes at Sogang. Sweet Move Catherine..
I almost got charged for violating the law and almost deported back to Singapore. Fortunately, after further investigating my case, the officer drop my charges. HOWEVER, I still have to get out of Korea before July 22nd and re-enter again as a visitor.

MAFAN sia. And don't get me started on the part where I had to explain it to my mom. She went BALLISTIC! Thinking that I'm being put into Jail and all. Well anyway, I'm leaving Korea to the nearest country which is CHINA, for a few hours and then come back into Korea again after getting stampped on my passport.

Other than that, nothing else intersting happened. I'm really starting to hate Yonsei KLI.. they're getting pretty annoying and seriously inconsiderate. But that's just me talking...

Oh my god. You have no idea how many times I've wanted to update this "dead" blog.
So many things have happened this past week and I din take the time to jot them all down. CLASSIC. Well done Catherine. haha =)

First of all, I'd like to take this opportunity to announce my "resignation" of studying at Yonsei University. BECAUSE, I've been awarded a Scholarship by the Korean Education Board to study Korean Language at yet another well-known and fascinating school.. SOGANG UNIVERSITY.
I Love it! I went for Orientation yesterday and I thank the 'Lord Jesus Almighty' that there weren't many ASIANS as I thought it'll be. haha
They're either Americans or Korean-americans..

Class started today. Did a test first (in the morning) to determine where we would put in class.I'm happy to say this cause for so long, I finally made it to the ADVANCED level.hahaha
I made a friend, Jenny whom I met at Orientation the day before and was so thankful (yet again..) we got into the same class.
A little intro on Jenny since I'd probably be talking about her for the next 6 weeks. She's full Korean but born and raised in Hawaii. Lovely girl, funny and definitely friendly. I think we're the same age cause i've yet to ask but according to her she said she graduated from High School LAST year which kinda makes that 20 this year. So yeah..

Okay.. on a slightly different note, did anyone catch TRANSFORMERS 2 at theatres over the weekend? If you haven't, go kill yourself please.
WHERE WERE YOU MAN? haha..
Awesome shit I tell you.. and I can't get over the fact that the music throughout the movie was fantastic! Linkin Park did a great job collaborating all the music pieced together.
Right after the movie, I came home and started downloading the ENTIRE Soundtrack album.

Alright.. I'm gonna go off now. Its 8am wake up call for me from now on.. through out the next 6 weeks. Wish me luck. CIAO!

I'm BACK! From the Country side and I don't mean just my ah-ma's.. like from the mountains!
My skin's burnt, my back aches and my legs feel they just don't work no more. haha

Anyway, spent the first 3 days at Grandma's.. went to the beach with my mom's side of the family and what not. Got to eat freshly caught fish turned Sashimi. After that, came back to Seoul again. Left the day after to Gangwon-do (way east of S.Korea). Took the train to Chuncheon City.. the scenery was just fantastic! Words cannot describe it man.. Went to the famous SOYANG DAM which was a 'must' thing to do there. Since we were on the mountain, we took the bus to the top and walked DOWN when we were done. haha =) It wasn't tiring at all. haha

Day after. Took a 2 hour Express Bus ride to SOKCHO which was famous for its fishing ports and beaches. But unfortunately, it totally rained when we got there thus, unable to go to the beach. Instead, we cooped up in out hotel room the rest of the day.
The next day, we were lucky enough to head out to Mt. Seoraksan ( highest Mountain in the region) cause the weather was just PERFECT. Took the cable car up to one of the shorter mountains and then walked UP ( a long distance) to the top of some waterfall. It was tiring but worth it lah. I mean, when will you ever get this kind of opportunity right?

After all the climbing up and down for the past 3 days, we came back by bus to Seoul..late last night. TIRED balls! If I didn't stuff myself with delicious food at every meal, all that walking and climbing would have helped me lost at least 8kg! hahaha =) Guess I can flush that idea now.

Right, about to head out to meet Ji Yeon cause mom said we should. Then she's off to Grandma's on her own which CLEARLY means she's left me with Jackiee for a few days. Classic.
Well, can take this time to actually do some SHOPPING after so long. haha

Hi Hi Hi..
Its been a week already. Fast aye? I'm done with the exams which I'm so bloody thankful for. Holidays start on Friday. WOOPEE!
Anyway, Jackiee has been staying with me at my place since Monday cause Mom went to visit her Niece at the country side. Who would have thought that Jackiee could be such a spoilt,bratty Princess! She couldn't 'tahan' staying at my Grandma's without me.. haha =) Cutie.

Today. I sorta "chao-ed" school early to go out with Jackiee as planned. First stop, made our way to the Immigration Office to get my VISA extended. Now that that's done, I don't have to worry about it when I go backpack travelling with the family. After which we cabbed to Myeong-dong for some shopping. Well at least that's what Jackiee did. haha =)
We decided to walk to the Cable car station where we took the cable car up to NAMSAN TOWER. Incase you didn't know, we just wanted to check out the places where 'Kkott Boda Namja' were filming at. haha =)

When we reached the top of the mountain, it was so fucking cold! Despite all that, we managed to snap a couple of pictures. Today was fun.. maybe because I got to spent it with my little sister. I miss our bonding time.. It won't be too long before mom and Jackiee return to Singapore and I'm left all ALONE again. I'd have to wait another 6 months before I can fly back home for the holidays. -___-. Oh well..

Bon jour!
So guess wad? Mom and Jackiee's here in Korea! Woohoo! Went to the airport to pick them up a few days ago. I was waiting like an hour for them at the arrival hall and once i saw mom walking out the exit, I started to tear! This shows how much I miss them.. haha =)

So anyway, we've been catching up with each other of course.. Did a little bit of touring CENTRAL SEOUL over the weekend, even walked up to the Seoul Tower (that was seriously a crazy move we did..)
However, just two days ago.. mom and Jackiee left for the COUNTRY SIDE aka, Granny's place cause I had upcoming exams to study for next week and won't be able to meet them. So mom figured, "Why not see my own mother??".haha. No worries, I'll be making my way there too once the school holidays start!

Speaking of which, I got pretty, no wait.. DAMN upset this afternoon.. THANKS TO THIS IDIOTIC FELLA in my class who happens to be my partner. We had a 'speaking' exam today and it was suppose to be done between two people, in conversation form. So our topic/scenario was about 'visiting the doctor'. I totally did my part by memorizing my lines but that ASS-WIPE didn't! He didn't even make the effort to study the lines over the weekend. I mean c'mon! You had like 4 days to remember only 7 short lines! And worse, he thought the exam was TOMORROW. For god's sake man! So pissed off!
But wadeva, Scott was right when he told me that "its okay" cause the exam was only 20%. BUT STILL! Its the damn 'PRINCIPLES' that matter.. I din care about the grade, it was more like taking RESPONSIBILITIES which he totally lacks.

I can't believe people like him still exist in this world. Jesuz.
I'm gonna go study now. Reading exam tomorrow. Shit.

Hello fellow earthlings!
I've been wanting to post an entry, but was kinda caught up with other 'important' things. But then again, what does that matter? I'm here anyway. haha

SO. Friday was quite a blast.. basically because we din have to sit in class for 5 hours learning more difficult grammars and vocabulary like we usually do. The school celebrated their 50th Anniversary since their establishment. I was hoping we would be given the day off but apparently not, we had to attend the event which started in the morning. HOWEVER, my loving teacher told us to come by in the afternoon when all the long speeches are over and performances started. So that's what we did.

After the performance at the auditorium, my classmates and I walked to the Fun-Fair nearby where they were selling INTERNATIONAL FOOD. We're talking American, Italian, Thai, Japanese, French. Obviously, SINGAPORE'S not one of them.. trust me, I circled the place like more than 3 times in the hopes of locating it. I did however, find MALAYSIA? Close enough right? haha.. Bought 'nasi lemak' which totally satisfied me.

After the school event, we all decided to head out to Sinchon for lunch. After which we still had some time on our hands, and decided to walk over to "K-BOX" for some singing and drinking time. haha. Yes, all this at 4 in the afternoon. I'm a little early on the drinking part, but its been a while man! Haha.. Came home after that.. a little light headed but still focused.

Today was no better. Woke up like 3 in the afternoon.. after spending the whole night before, sorting and uploading thousands of pictures onto myphotoalbum. Tough work but I finally completed it. Then took a walk to Sogang University.. get my thigh muscles moving. Came home again, no dinner. So I walked out grab macs which I regretted cause it only adds up in my body. haha=) Oh well, LIFE IS FULL OF REGRETS.

I have no idea what to do tomorrow. Probably meet JL for dinner.

Gosh I'm feeling so tired. Only managed to sleep at 5am this morning, on top of that..got up early to go to school. Its all thanks to that movie me and a friend of mine watched early this morning!
How early? Freakin 12am that last till almost 2am. haha. It was quite exciting actually.. haven't done in a very long time. So I think there were about 5 of us in the entire theater. We watcher STAR TREK which was friggin good. And yes, CHRIS PINE is looking so fine? haha.

Realise that I've been speding WAY too much money on movies and clothes. Gotta cut it out before mom arrives. haha =) I think dad's gonna make her check my Expenditure list.

Goodness..
Been spending WAY too much money this week. But it was worth every penny, except for ONE top which I bought today.. darn it!
So let's start with Friday..

Koreans celebrate TEACHER'S DAY on Friday. So me being a "goody-two-shoes" and all, volunteered to collect money from all the classmates and then go out to buy two bouquet of roses for the two teachers in our class. Got up BRIGHT and EARLY for that.
After school, made my way to JL's place.. Chilled for a few minutes before we left to go watch THE SWELL SEASON Concert, LIVE in SEOUL!
It was awesome man.. not really "cool" to watch but listening to them sing, was so inspiring!

SATURDAY.. dedicated to myself only. Despite the ridiculous wet weather, took the train to Itaewon for my hair appointment. Finally got the roots of my hair coloured.. did a little trim as well. Decided to drop by at some church in Mapo-gu after that. I figured why travel SO FAR to Central Seoul for Mass service when there's one that does it 15 mins away? HAHA.
So i've decided to attend mass there from now onwards..

TODAY.. Went to church at 11am. Then took a cab to myeong-Dong where I met JodiLynn again.. While she was waiting for me, she was being stalked by some WEIRD Turkish guy and so as soon as I came, she dragged me by the arm and told to walk fast. haha =) Funny shit.
We did a little shopping before we went to go watch "ANGELS AND DEMONS" as usual, movie was good, but i'm sure the BOOK was even better. That's why I got my mom to pack the novel for me when she gets here.. Since it ended late and all, we parted ways.. she took the train and i took a slow bus ride home.

DANG. School tomorrow.. much to prepare for the school's 50th Anniversary this week. Bummer, its definitely going to be a long week man.. Oh well.

Damn.. the weather's been a real Bitch today or rather, the whole week!
Its starting to get really warm here which is weird cause we're suppose to expect that next month. Looks like Summer came in early this year. To think I actually WISHED for summer a few months back. Sheesh.

Anyway, nothing new and exciting happened today.. despite the fact that its the "time-of-the-month.". Arghh.. couldn't this day get any worse?
Oh. I've been assigned by the class to be the Treasurer. Since its summer and down right warm, my teacher came up with this idea that every end of the day when we play games and there so happens to be 2 losers, both have to hand me 2000Won each. And on every Friday, the money will be spent on drinks or ice-cream for the whole class.

I just collected 8000Won today. haha =)

What a day..
My feet hurt from all the walking I did both yesterday and this afternoon. The weekend's over and I've got another 5 days to "look forward" to.. bummer!

Nehoos, before I forget.. I wanna wish all the Mama's out there a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Its time like this, I miss my mommy even more! I wanna give her hug and kiss on the cheek to celebrate HER DAY. Probably make breakfast in bed like what my sister and I would normally do, hand her a Bouquet of flowers.. *sniffs. Apparently, those were all false pretenses. Instead, what I did was.. send her an e-card with a long message with it.

Saturday, went out to meet JL. We went to watch WOLVERINE the movie.. stunts were good, Hugh Jackman was obviously HOT but the ending kinda sucked. Like, it just totally left the audience "hanging". JL said that they'll probably show another sequence to it. Had dinner at Pasta12 after that.

TODAY. Mom called me up this afternoon to thank me for the e-card i sent her. Then we just kep on taking for another 3 hours or so. After which I had to get ready to go out.
Met JL again cause I promised I'd cook dinner for her. That promise was made like e-ons ago.. but with the exams and event preparations going on last week, couldn't do so. So i met her at the supermarket, got a couple of things before taking the bus back to her place.
Cooked dad's version of Chicken Curry. And MmmmMMmm.. was it good. Mommy was right when she told me to add extra this and that. THANKS MOMMY!
Took the bus back home and here I am! Waiting for the shower room to be vacant...

Thank the Lord Almighty..
I'm done with the exams and managed to pass everything. Just felt I could have done better though.. nevermind, what's done is done, can't do nothing about it except to study harder for the Finals. As always, writing exam was abit rough around the edges and Speaking test was a breeze. haha.

So today being Friday and all, I figured I'd go home and rest since I haven't be able to do so these past week. Before heading home after school, dropped by the Supermarket for a little Grocery Shopping and then to the Stationary shop to get writing materials. Home after that.
Been talking to Mariah for a few days now.. PLEASE O' PLEASE let her dad allow her to come to Seoul for the weekend. I could really use a familiar face right now cause I'm starting to feel home-sick again. And I desperately want to eat that 'Indonesian Keropok', I asked her to get for me. HAHA!

This weekend is gonna fun cause I get to actually GO OUT instead of cooping myself up in my room. Seriously, if I continue this any longer.. i'll go insane one day. Tomorrow, I'll be going for a movie with friends and then on Sunday.. I'll be cooking MY VERSION of Chicken curry at JL's place for dinner. Mmmmm.. Can't wait!

Hello.
Can't say much about today except that I could really use a cup of coffee right now. I've been up 2 days straight thanks to this dumb conversation test I had to prepare for.

Its ridiculous! First of all, we only had less than ONE week to prepare for it. My previous class did a similar test but gave us TWO weeks to prepare.
Second of all, this is just 20% out of a 100 and the teachers consider this REALLY IMPORTANT. On top of all these, we've still got four other papers to study for and then sit for it in the the next few days. *sigh.

Sometimes I think to myself, "Catherine.. what have you got yourself into?".
But that happens when I'm really frustrated and all. Oh well..
Another 4 weeks till mom and Jackiee arrives. Obviously I can't wait! I need someone to give me a good, familiar, WARM hug that I've longed to have one. And of course, I miss them. Just wished Dad could come over.. but somehow I think he can't cause of work. PITY.

Oh my God.. I'm really hating myself right now after I found out something I should have known days or even WEEKS ago. Someone STAB ME please!

So here's my tragic story..
Yesterday being the annual 'Lantern Festival' thingy, I figured I'd accompany JL to some Buddhist Temple to snap some pics and basically "tour" the place. Apparently, no one was there cause it ended in the afternoon and we were there close to 7pm. So despite that, I totally felt like I wasted my time. But i did manage to snap some pics of myself with these GORGEOUS flowers. haha

So we get on the bus and decided to head back since it was a school day tomorrow. While in the bus, I passed by this huge shopping mall that I always go to cause it was a walking distance from my place. I was wondering why the heck were there so many people outside the mall. And then I "assumed" it was those Random B-Boys performing on stage cause I caught them dancing from the HUGE screen. So okay, tarnished the thought after that.

I just got online to check some recent news about HYD Korea. They're gonna preview this 25 minute long Music drama on live telly tomorrow and thus, wanted to get the details right so I could watch it. I then came across another article (from the same website) stating that ......

The 'famous' boy group, BIG BANG WERE THE ONES THAT WERE PERFORMING OUTSIDE THE MALL THAT I PASSED LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh My God. I'm so dissapointed with myself right now. Its no wonder I suddenly thought about why there were so many Police Officers guarding the place. SHIT!
Why Why Why..? Plus it was an 1 hour 20min long OPEN concert. FREE, No ticket purchasing required. *sobs..

Oh well. I'm so gonna keep up with the entertainment news. Now that I know they actually come down to Sinchon (where i Live) to perform.

Anywhos.. it been raining since THIS MORNING and its still going on. Sheesh.
Yesterday was worse cause it was extremely BORING day, with nothing to do at all.
Reason being, after much careful consideration, I've decided NOT to go out during weekends (meaning shopping..) till when my mom and sister gets here. I NEED TO SAVE MONEY!

Speaking of which, they've confirmed their flight to Seoul on the 29th of May. WOOPEE!
Not am I the only whose excited, seems Jackiee is too when she told me the news two days ago.
A month and 10 days to wait. I can do that? All I gotta do is focus more on school and time will pass swiftly!

While my family is having a wonderful BBQ-Pool party at my native home, I'm here in my room.. wondering what I should do next. Haha =)
I woke up this morning, went for mass at the University. Then came home.. slept again!
Then a while later, I realised I haven't even started on my homework so I instantly got up.

Got dressed, walked out again deciding on where I should hang out to finish up my homework.
TOM&TOM's Cafe was a really good place to chill. After an hour of doing my homework and completing it, I figured I'd stay longer and start reading my book. You'll never guess which book I'm at it again. *pause

TWILIGHT! I just can't get enough of it.. and besides, the book's way WAY better than the motion flick. I only love the movie cause Robert's in it. HAH!
Nehoos, came home again just before dinner time which was great! Cause there was no one eating with me and the meal that ahjummah cooked today was wonderful. Grilled pork!

Thought I'd call home to wish the family.. Sniffs! I miss my cousins!! They sound like they've grown up , especially Darren whose voice had gotten LOWER than before..Kevin too. Puberty!
haha =) It was great to hear everyone's voice after months!

Right.. i think I'm just about done now. Gonna pack my bags for school TOMORROW. *No comments about that. haha =)

Was in the theater with JL last week, waiting for the FAST & FURIOUS 4 movie to start.
Then all of a sudden, they decided to show Super Junior's new MUSIC VIDEO on screen as a preview. Everyone was like, "ehhh.. nice eh this song??".

I'm so lazy to actually type down everything I did these past week. Well except for the fact the despite mom's sudden change of mind about me getting my degree, I'm starting to REALLY think about it now. SHIT.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to meeeeeee!
Good Lord, I'm freakin 20 now and I'm quite disturbed by it. Haha =)
Nah~ I'll get over it once tomorrow arrives.

Anyway, at first I thought.. "seriously, I don't even wanna THINK about my birthday."
True enough, I didn't! For the last ENTIRE 3 weeks, been busy with school and exams until a classmate asked me when my birthday was. And I went, " oh, its next week!"
Was kinda upset at the fact that my family and close friends wouldn't be here to celebrate with me. Then it occurred to me that sometime in the very mere future, they might not be there everytime a birthday approaches. SO there, I was already prepared on celebrating my birthday alone.

Luck changes.. when you least expect it. My classmates figured they'd celebrate an early birthday for me. So on the 29th, we had dinner.. ( as mentioned on previous post).Then the next day, Ji Yeon's mom prepared me a huge 'Birthday Feast' at her place..so I went there in the afternoon. It was so sweet! I mean, I'm not THAT close to her family and they're going thru so much just to prepare the food and other stuff. I feel bad now.

Today, met JL for the OFFICIAL Birthday Lunch @ Outback Steak House! It was fantastic but the best part was when JL requested some birthday treat, the entire Staff working there came around my table, brought in a free slice of Rasberry Cheese cake and sang me a Birthday song in both English and Korean. haha! =) And then they took a picture of us. I was happy lah, I mean.. you don't get this every year right?

Came back to Sinchon after lunch, hung out at home before heading out again to meet the "family". Came home just before 11pm. Then as I was having my shower, my room mate next door told me to shower fast and come down to the kitchen cause Ahjummah wanted to talk to me about something serious. At that moment I froze.. thought to myself, "Shit! What did I do now??". Got out, got dressed, dashed down.. din even dry hair properly.. Opened the door and SURPRISE! All the house mates were there, holding a birthday cake and singing. I was totally caught off-guard man.

So there we were. Having cake and tea just before midnight. I seriously din think they'd care even if it was my birthday or not. I mean I didn't? But overall, it was a good day. I got calls from mom, dad and jackiee yesterday. Andrea called just after midnight and then Mariah (again) this afternoon. THANK YOU GUYS! Oh, and the peeps who wished me on FB.. I'm preety content. What more can I ask for right? I'm happy lah.

Right, this TWENTY year old.. wants to head to bed. Gotta meet Andrea's pal tomorrow..

Wazzup?!
Just came back from a really late dinner.. Gosh I've been eating so much, I seriously ought to do something about it. But then again, no worries cause school's about to start in a couple of days and I'm all geared up for it.

Odd thing happened today.. I got a call from my bestie MARIAH!! That cute thing.. she's the only one whose got the HEART to call me even if she was bored and got nothing to do. Its been more than twice now.. The rest eh? Hmmmph! Don't want to mention.

So anyway, met up with some of my classmates cause one of them is heading back to his country for good. We ate at some BBQ chicken restaurant.. haven't been there since Ji Yeon last brought me there 6 months ago! Food was good of course, can't complain there. After dinner, walked over to some "community" sport center where we played a game of Table Tennis for an hour. I am so happy to say that I totally beat the crap out of the guys. This reminds me that one time me and the girls were playing ping-pong at my place.. haha! Good times..

Anyway, since it was still early.. we made our way to some HOF bar for some Fried Chicken and beer. Delicious. haha =) Then later I realised that its the 'SEASON OF LENT' so I cut my intake of alcohol to ONE mug instead of the usual. Ate, talked about so many things.. till it was time to head back cause some of them had to take the train home.
Overall it was alright.. wished more of my classmates could have attended. Oh well~

Yeah i know I said I'd post pics of Yesterday's TRIP TO THE MOUNTAIN, but there were just too many so I posted some of it on Facebook. I'm too lazy to upload it here. haha =)

Hello hello hello!
Get ready for a long post.

Today has been an awesome day.. got to spend it with a couple of friends in the most memorable way. haha =)
After what seems like almost a week since I've cooped myself up in my room, I decided to head out..get some sun-light, fresh air and meet up with friends. Did I mention I slept at 630am and woke up 4 hours later? Like what's the meaning of this? I was already tucked in by 930pm the night before but couldn't sleep till dawn. Jesus Christ. Anyway, insufficient amount of sleep didn't keep me from my "little" excursion today.

Went out, met Jang-Yeon and MiZhi Unni before lunch time. Took the train to 'Euljiro-1' station, met Faisal and his friend ( he looks weird..). We decided to have lunch at my aunts, I've been craving for her extremely delicious Kimbap so I suggested we go there. HAHA =)

After lunch, walked 30 mins to the cable car station. I was kinda excited cause its one of the 'filming sites' of Kkott Boda Namja! When I got into the Cable car, couldn't find that little message Goo Joon Pyo wrote.. *sigh. Anyway, we got to the top.. took pictures here and there. There were quite alot of people actually. Students on excursions, tourist and even locals..all there to spent the afternoon. Wished I came with my family though, they'll LOVE it! Went up to the tower.. Could see the whole spread of Seoul, really nice view. Mountains, rivers, building etc.. Even the PRESIDENT's Residential Area.

Spent an hour plus there.. came back down, took more pictures. Even got to watch some Historic play of how Korean Soldiers defended their country and King during the Joseon dynasty. It was quite cool actually. I'm amazed at how long Korea's history is. haha =) After 4 hours at the top of Mt.Namsan, time to head back. Took the cable car back..

Faisal and his friend had to leave first so it was just me and the girls. The logic thing to do at that time was to shop right? SO WE DID! haha =) I bought so many things related to Kkott Boda Namja! hahaha =) Got Jackiee her 'Boys over Flowers OST Cd PART II'.. Mom told me not to mail it so I guess she'll only receive it when she gets here in two months. I can't make use of it cause I don't have a CD drive in my Notebook and I don't have a CD player. BUMMER. Bought myself some top which I think looks adorable.. I'm so pleased. Got home just before dinner.. been busy editing and uploading pictures eversince.

Okay.. I'm done. I feel so sleepy right now. I'm gonna post the pics of NAMSAN TOWER tomorrow. For now, enjoy viewing the things i bought! MUAAHAHAHA.. =) GOODNIGHT!

Alex Chu ( the singer) is such an awesome and handsome ( i might add..) person! There's so much meaning to it.. I wished the person whom I hope I'll spend my life with, does the same thing to me like Alex DID to Shin-Ae. Its awfully romantical!

So anyway, I'm at my 3rd or 4th day since I've fallen sick. But I've been taking my medicine regularly and my body seems to be taking effect from it. THANK GOD. If I ever happen to develope fever, ITS OVER.
I'd need anti-biotics instead of normal flu medicine, and I doubt they sell that on the shelves at local Pharmacies. Which means I would have to make my way to the hospital just for that. AND THAT ALONE COSTS A BOMB! So no siree..I make a point NOT to step into any hospitals for as long as I'm here. haha =)

Stayed indoors today.. wasn't feeling too good. Besides, of I were to step out.. I'd probably go MAD shopping cause my fingers are feeling a little itchy ( if you know wad I mean...). Since I've officailly started my school holidays on Friday, I'm gonna TRY to have less fun and more studying cause I feel I need to brush up on my writting skills. Cause they totally sucked during the exam. BUMMER =(
Oh well.. let's hope I do better for next term. haha

Right.. There's nothing more I can say right now except, I MISS MY MOM AND DAD!
Which reminds me, I spoke to them on Skype last night and the out of nowhere they said something so sweet yet weird cause it was the first time I'm hearing it.
My mom and dad told that I totally looked different ( not just the hair) and that I've GROWN PRETTIER since I left home a couple months back.

Altogether now... AWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!

Seriously, I was kinda spooked by the whole thing. But I take that as a compliment.hehehe.. =)
I have to admitt though, like I once told Van.. I HAVE BEEN looking myself at the mirror longer than when I did back in SIN. Its like I din bother at that time. haha.. So now i get, I'm a LATE BLOOMER.

First of all, its flippin raining outside and I'm currently having the sniffles as well as the cough.
Perfect.

Last night was CRAZY. Since it was officially the LAST DAY of term 2, the class decided to hold one last 'get together' before we part ways.
After school, some of us went home to rest while me, Fais, MiChi and Ja-jun went shopping for the "perfect" gift for Ms Yoon.

Finally decided on making a hand-made card and bought her a bouquet of roses. At 630pm, the rest of the class showed up at the school's front gate. We made our way to some Chicken-HOF house. Had a couple of rounds of beer and soju.
It's all thanks to Mike that my head went spinning when we walked out of the restaurant. He made me try this weird yet traditional korean drink where u pour half a mug of beer and then a shot of soju dump in it, with the GLASS!
I'm suppose to drink that whole thing in one shot. MADNESS i tell you..but it was fun, we got to play drinking games and all that. haha =)

After that, walked 'zig-zagged' to some Karaoke place where we sang for like 5 hours?!
But our teacher couldn't hold her liquor too well, she kinda "dozed" off in the middle. And of course we had fun! Dancing, singing and all that.
Came home at 2am.. Din realise my phone battery was dead, so i just crashed into bed with a heavy head. Got up this afternoon.. charged my phone, immediately got a call from mom who got pissed with me cause she tried calling me since this morning.
SORRY MOTHER. haha =)

Right.. medicine's still not taking effect so I'm gonna watch some telly now. Will update photos soon!

Its times like these, I feel so bloody 'bimbo tic' that I'd wanna capture it on film. haha =)
I figured since I haven't uploaded any new pictures of my "new" hairstyle. Not much difference right? Just the bangs only.. haha~

Anyway, as usual.. its been a week since I last updated. No accuses is what you'd like to say, but I've been really really busy preparing for the 'already-started' exams. Started exactly one week ago and so far, it din really STORE into my 'memory disk'.
So annoying.. I keep questioning myself as to why the bloody hell do we all have to take examinations? Just to prove to somebody else that we actually went through the learning progress? Jesus..I'd love to meet anyone who ENJOYS sitting for exams or better yet, STUDY for them. Seriously, I'd punch the DAY LIGHTS outta that person. Arghhh..

You're probably wondering why I "sound" so grumpy and all.. reason being, after all that late nights of studying, I feel I din do so well when I completed the paper this morning. Its always the MAIN PAPER that worries me and demoralizes me to the max. Screw it lah, now I think about it.. I DID try my best! So I don't really care if i fail that paper or not. haha =)
Okay, I'm back to my old, happy self! Ran some errands outside, after school. Drew some money out of the bank, got van's SPECIAL present.. grabbed lunch on the way home.
Continued studying for a few hours.. tomorrow's the COMPREHENSION exam. Hopefully i'll do well for it. At least a PASS would do good to me. haha

Right.. just finished speaking to mom and dad via MSN web-cam. I'm like so bloody far away from them and yet, I still receive lectures from them. * Sigh
Parents.. you'll never run away from them. But I miss them of course. I can't wait for mom and Jackiee to get here during the summer! Speaking of which, the weather today was exceptionally good today. I love it! Not too cold like normal days. SPRING is definitely here!

Oh my goodness.

This blog is as good as dead. Never updated for a week already! But then again, whose reading right? haha=)

Anywho... Been pretty caught up with things these past week, obviously school's one of them.
I even found out a few days back that two of our classmates quit halfway through the course. One of them, Mark, I could totally understand cause his wife needed medical attention and all.
But the other dude.. "Sang-shi", I really don't understand. Rumor has it that he din like the people in our class and decided to learn elsewhere. I mean like, what the f**k? Just because you don't get along with us and let your pride get in the way, you leave us with a bad impression. And we sit there thinking, did we do anything bad to him? Jackass..

Finally met Ji-Youn on Thursday cause we both wanted to watch that Brad Pitt movie.
THE CURIOS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON. Yeah I know..Like totally last minute, but it was a really awesome movie!! I asked Ji Youn whether she understood the plot of the whole movie.. she only told me this, " I don't really know but I can only tell you that, BRAD PITT is so handsome!".
Hahaha.. I was like "ya? You din know?" =) Funny shit i tell you.. Treated her to dinner at some Pizza restaurant. It was good and cheap too! 20 bucks for a regular pan of pizza and free flow of Salad for two peeps.

Friday, a childhood friend of mine came down from Singapore for his really really long holiday. He's got family and friends here so accomadation does not seem to be a problem for him. Since he din wanna accompany his friend to her grandma's place, he decided we meet up since I din see for almost a year. He looked so different man! Goodness.. anyway, he made me become his dumb tour guide so I brought him around places that I normally go to. Went to Myeongdong, Namdaemun and then around my area for some beer and chicken. He was so sweet enough to buy me a nice top from FOREVER 21. So obviously, to repay him.. I bought him dinner.
He took the bus back to his friend place just before 11pm. Will be seeing him again in a week or two.

Saturday was rest day so I din do anything. Today however, went out to meet MiZhi Unni cause we needed to discuss our presentation for the Final exams. Took us three hours to complete 3 freakin questions. But thankfully we managed to finish it. All we need to do now is get a Korean educated person to look through and see if we've written something LOGIC instead of nonsense.
haha =) Speaking of Finals, its like coming lah.. in about 2 weeks I guess. I suddenly don't feel so good. Just thinking about revisions and memorising all those grammers again makes me nauseous. ARGHHHHHHH!

Why do we need exams? Like seriously? To prove we did something? Don't understand. Oh well.. all I can do now is Pray and of course study.
Gonna turn in early today. School tomorrow.

1st Day of March.. Good heavens! I'm way too scared to even think about it man~

6 months I've been in Korea. So far, I've learned quite alot. Got to make friends, understood so much more than just studying the language, got to some sight-seeing and all. I've yet to do some decent traveling though, but in time I will when my family gets over here, end May.
My Korean has improved, like I could totally reply back to someone when they asked me a question. I couldn't do that before, back in Singapore. haha =)

So, I haven't done much lately. Been practicing and rehearsing for the school's " Speech & Singing Competition". In the end we didn't really win anything, but we did receive an award for Participation and Hardworking Class. Better than nothing I would say.. haha =) It was fun lah, we got to work together, made a fool of ourselves and what not.

Gosh, I think 'Boys Before Flowers' is driving every sane human-being who watches it, turn mad!
Even my own sister who didn't give a hoot about her Mother's country before, is CRAZY about them now. And she keeps telling me to plan a good itinerary when she gets here.. travel together, see the sights and sounds of Seoul. She wants to head up to the Seoul Tower and all that.Sheesh~
Like, where were you sia? When we went there 7 years ago? Perhaps she couldn't remember. Besides, she was only 10 years old then.

Both Mariah and Jackiee managed to receive the package I sent them. Jackiee's over the moon! Dunno about Mariah cause she din take a good look at it. haha =)
Speaking of which, I got my parcel from Mariah too! Thanks alot buddy! Really love what you got me and I'm sure to return that favourite purple pouch of urs soon.

Right.. school again tomorrow. I hate to wake up so early in the morning. Walking in the COLD weather to get to school. *SIGH.

Check it out.. A friend of mine from school email me this picture of the TV series, "Boys Before Flowers". We've got the Taiwan version, Jap of course..then the Korean and also Chinese version which I was totally unaware of. Could be bull-shit but who gives a damn right?.. haha =)

Anyway, been feeling a little "rough around the ages" these past couple of days. Like I'm starting to question myself, "What in the world am I doing here when others are busy obtaining something more important. Perhaps a degree certificate?". But that's just my head talking.. the heart's not doing its part in agreeing with me. Seriously, am I talking sense now? LOL

Didn't do much these past few days. Its either to school I go every morning, or at home chilling infront of the computer. I don't think I have the HEART to spend more money outside. Haha =)
Oh speaking of school, my advisor told me that I can finish my course at Intermediate level .. that's in 6 months but after I told mom about, she INSIST that I complete it till Advance level. That's like another year plus. I was a little hesistant but after thinking about it, she's right. What can one do with an 'Intermediate' cert when i come back to Singapore? Like so pointless.

Oh well, I'll see how it goes. School work's been getting a little more difficult as each day approaches. Definitely not confident in preparing myself for the term-end exams.. Jesus.
Is LIFE all about taking exams? Sickening..

Wad's up ya'll?

As usual, weather here is as cold as ever. However, it also means that Spring is coming soon.. my guess is another week or two till winter is over! Please please let it go by fast.
It kinda snowed just now, on my way back home from JL's place. Really light and wet.. like RAIN.

Anyway, I'm so happy because I finally found something me and my little sister share in common.
We both LOVE 'Kkott Boda Namja' and we both love Goo Joon Pyo and Yi Jung!! hahaha =)
I'm so proud of her!! haha =) She's finally got her eyes set on something KOREAN for once.. it took her this long to realise. Tsk tsk.

Oh! Did I mention that for the past 4 days since Monday, there have been at least 150 Yonsei Uni students, partying outside where I live? CRAZY man! I thought ONE DAY would be enough but FOUR freaking days? Madness! At first, I thought a riot or a protest was going on cause it totally sounded like it. Then just yesterday, during dinner with the rest of the house mates, ahjummah told me that an ORIENTATION for Freshman students was taking place, thus the noise. And I was like " OH...." haha =)
I just HOPE and PRAY it'll all end by this week.. its still going on as we speak. LOL

So I went over to JL's place after school. Gathered some stuff that she needed help with.. walked quite a distance to the Post Office to send the things off to the States. So there we were, cutting and tapping boxes. That took us an HOUR seriously.. then came back again. Had lunch that she cooked. Extremely delicious! Cajun rice and spicy fried chicken.. Mmmmm!
Hung out for another hour before we left together for Sinchon. She had to go meet her translator for work purposes. I however, took a really fast walk (cause it was cold!) to the nearest CD shop.. finally got my hands on 'HYD-Korea OST'. Not for me though, for my dear friend MARIAH. It came with a really huge poster so I hope she likes it. Cause I DO!!

I'm thinking how i'm gonna shove that poster in the box with the CD and other stuff.
Hmmmm.. I'll find a way soon enough.

Was online, web-camming with my Best friends. It was quite ironic actually.. we were having a discussion about CHIN-GU in class today and we had to describe them and all that other Jazz. haha =) And then here we were, capturing looney moments on webcam.

So anyway.. school was alright. We've begun "studying" which is nothing NEW to us.-__-
Just started on PART II of the new book that was given to us today. Sad part however, two of our teachers who had been with us for a month plus will not be teaching us tomorrow onwards. Two NEW ones will come in to replace them.. part of their teacher policy thing I guess. Gave our final greetings (Korean style) to them, just before we left class at the end of the day.

Oh did I mention today's weather was a real KICK-ASS cold one?! Dropped like 8 degrees down sia! And I stupidly wore something I wasn't suppose to. Freezing like hell balls. Bought back Lunch after school.. din wanna hang outside so I came home straight. I admitt, din do any studying today.. so many good movies on telly. Couldn't resist! I'd better head back to the Cafe tomorrow like always.. at least I can get something done out of it. haha =)

Right.. school again tomorrow. Definitely expecting crazy weather again like today. So I'm all ready to keep warm on my way to school tomorrow morning.

So anyway, yesterday being Valentine's Day.. I thought I'd head out with a friend since we're BOTH single and don't have dates. Saddening but what to do right? Haha =)
Woke up, got dressed and ready to meet JL at Itaewon. She said she wanted to take me somewhere NICE for lunch and we ended up at HARD ROCK CAFE. First time ever to enter Hard Rock, not even back in Singapore! Had this amazing lunch.. guess I had too much Korean food that I kinda forgot what Western food tasted like. haha =)

Walked over to Brian's shop to get our hair done. Din do anything 'drastic' to my hair so can't really tell. After that, walked back to Itaewon again to do MAJOR shopping. I think I spent almost 100 bucks on clothes today. But it was definitely worth it..
Since we ate so much during lunch, we skipped dinner and made our way back to Sinchon by bus.
Then a few school mates called me up, asked me if I wanted to drink a few rounds with them so I did .Left my place at 10pm, headed to a nearby HOF house.. Totally had fun! Best valentine's day outting. haha =)

Today.. woke at 5pm! Amazing.. I came back at about 2am this morning.. din have breakfast or lunch. That's when my tummy went calling for food so I finally got up. I was estatic when ahjumma made sam-gyeop-sal for dinner! Sat there for and hour, enjoying my meal. Came up and here I am! Better get going now.. school tomorrow, gotta pack my bags.

Okay.. like first of all, I was browsing through some clips on YOUTUBE and then out came Mitchell Musso from the 'Hannah Montana' series.. and DANG man! He can actually sing!
(Oh..and I actually kinda like the song.. haha)
Din think this little "dude" could pull it off in the singing industry but he actually did. Probably runs in the family lah, he's bro from METRO STATION is doing well too. haha =)

Anywho, completed the first two exam papers today. I stayed up all night last night..trying to shove last minute grammatical sentences into my head. Listening exam was up first, I was confident that I'd get the first part of the paper right but when it came to the last page, I think i screwed it. haha =) Then main paper was next. I can definitely say that wadeva I studied last night, came out in the paper. However, not sure whether I'll pass or not.

Tomorrow will be a little easier 'I SUPPOSE'. Reading comprehension paper as well as conversational exam. I think i'm ready for it? I mean, all I gotta do is read the text and answer the questions right? Nothing to study from the text books..
Oh well~

Came home straight after the paper. Was so damn tired so I took a well-deserved nap.. JL texted me a while later, asking me if I wanted to have dinner with her outside. BEER and CHICKEN night.. haha =) I only had one glass of beer so don't comment on that! I knew I had a paper tomorrow so I didn't drink alot. BUT I'M TELLING YOU, once I had my first sip of beer..
Good lord! It totaly send shivers down my body man. Tasted so damn good!
Talked and talked for a couple of hours before I made my way back home.. Studied some more and here I am! Figured I'd blog first before I go to bed. haha =)

Gosh I'm craving for some cake now.. SUGEE cake infact. Dang it!

Hey-o!
I seriously din get much sleep last night. So what I'm thinking I should do is, quickly get this posting DONE and then 'Hit the sack'. I need rest! I've got my first exam tomorrow and I've sorta memorized 70% of what I'm suppose to memorize.. is that good?

Well anyway, woke up early this morning.. got dressed and ready to make my way to Mapo-Gu where JL lives. Met her outside her place then walked over to the subway station.. Caught up and all, then got off at Anguk station. Reason why we were there was there was this "Exorcism" performance being held at Unhyeongung Palace. Not those SCARY kind of performance, more like art form? Pictures can explain it all. haaha

Hung out there for an hour or two. Even had our "own" tour guide. Actually, this ahjusshi kinda just appeared to us while we were watching the performance. Then he started explaining to us about the whole thing in English. Which kinda helped us cause we had NO CLUE what the hell was going on, on stage. haha =)

After that.. took the train back to Sinchon. Had lunch/dinner at some 'Dak-Galbi' restaurant and it was damn good! I head back home cause I needed to study so there.. still doing the memorizing even as we speak. Dang it! I hate exam periods!.. But then again, who likes them right?
Oh I know! Hermoine Granger from Harry Potter.. Muahahaha.. Lame.

So my dear Aunt, kinda tagged me a few really "ancient" photos on Facebook.
We're talking about the 90's man. At least that's what I call it?

I came across THIS photo, which I've never ever seen before..

Just look how ADORABLE we look. Innocent kids, not having to worry about ANYTHING at all.. Look at our smiles! NATURAL.. It clearly means we were always thinking and just living care-free and happy lives!

Yeah.. We've obviously grown up.

What it comes down to REALLY is.. I miss them. Like alot alot alot! Its particularly Jackiee and Darren that I miss the most at this point of time. Probably because I miss the chill out sessions, the shopping trips we made. Talking and bitching about AHEM..
Just wished I'd spent more time with them during Christmas last year.. 1.5 weeks was too short!
I'd have to wait probably another 3 months to see Jackiee and most likely a year or 10 months to see Darren. SIGH*

Anyway, went to school a little later than usual. Overslept.
Class was alright, I managed to write down one whole page in Korean about how "my race" plans or goes through a GRAND WEDDING. I have no idea why my teacher gave us that topic.
Oh wait.
Cause in the first place, like almost HALF the class are either married or engaged to be married. So there, that kinda answered the question. I was quite satisfied with what I've written cause the teacher kept agreeing with everything I've said.

After school, made my way to a nearby optician to get my god-damn eyes checked. I'm having serious "blur" visions for almost two weeks now and its starting to affect me in some way. I really thought that my eye degree had shot up to more than 150 but apprently, nothing seems to be wrong.. so the optician said lah. But I'm like, "huh? Can't be eh?".

I forgot to mention that I'm having constant headaches every now and then.. which made my body and mood feel WORSE.
Kinda mentioned this whole thing to my land-lady over dinner just now and she said that I'd better head to the hospital for a checkup incase something might be wrong. She also said that it might be due to 'high blood pressure' or even tumours growing in my head!

Sweet nibblets, now THAT got me damn worried lah. So I'm definitely heading to the doctors tomorrow after school. Mom kinda "raised" her voice at me when I called to tell her about this.
Well.. I would have avoided telling her if I could, but I needed a GOOD reason to substitute the real one if I'm asking her for 100,000 won to pay for the medical fees. So telling the TRUTH would be wise right?? haha =)

I hope everything will go well tomorrow. Probably have to run through a series of tests and what not. Dang it.
Okay, Its time i head to bed now. Getting late! School tomorrow.. oh boi..

Okay, I do realize that I was suppose to update yesterday but apparently I had other things to see to. Other than that, I have a serious problem.

I'm trying to save money so I can actually, "TRAVEL" around Korea once Spring or Summer arrives. HOWEVER, I've come to yet another realization that I've been spending too much money!! Not my exact intentions.. but yes, I've been shopping almost everyday now and everything I see, I have to get it. Jesus.. this is NOT happening man.
HAVE. TO. STOP. SPENDING. MONEY!

So went to school as usual in the morning. Not exactly my "cup of tea" now cause we're all preparing for exams and I feel that I'm not ready. There's so many things I've yet to understand them and I've only got less than a week! Again, NOT happening.

Dear Lord,
I probably need your kind words of wisdom as well as the confidence and discipline to get through all this, NOW. I seek your up-most support and consideration that you grant me these requests that I ask for. In return, I promise to attend church on time and do the means, necessary. In your name, I pray.

Right. After school, hung out at Starbucks for a few hours, to do a little self-revision. After that, made my way to Krispy Kreme and grabbed myself an "Original-Glazed" doughnut.
J.L came in JUST as I was about to sit down and eat my doughnut. Chilled out for a couple of minutes before walking out and made our way to have dinner at some restaurant. Pu-dae-Chigae was on our menu today and boyyyy.. was it good.

I decided to accompany JL to the "community center" where she gave English lessons as a volunteer. Seeing how interested i was, I managed to sign up as a Volunteer myself. However, since I'm below 25, they've labeled me as a "retreat" facilitator. Which means, everytime they have holidays or even just the weekend, I can accompany them as a facilitator and help out. We get to go to Ski Resorts, or the beach if its summer etc. How cool is that?
I get some excitement for myself as well... Can't wait!

Shopped around Myeong-Dong after that. Bought me-self an EVERLAST backpack for school.
See, told I was shopping too much. Took the bus back alone to Sinchon and HOME I was.
Okay, tired now.. I need my ROYAL, BEAUTY SLEEP.

LUNCH with a bunch of classmates..

Hey all.. Finally, some time for myself.
Before I begin, I seriously crave for daddy's "Red wine and avocado seasoned STEAK with BAKED POTATOES with sour cream at the side. *slurps! Scrumptious... When do I ever get the opportunity to have it?!

Anyway, been going out these past two days. Surprisingly, not to study..but have FUN!
Yeap, I thought to myself.. why go home straight after school on a FRIDAY and not hang out with friends? So that's what I did, a few of us went to lunch after school. We settled on BBQ meat buffet at some restaurant. After that wonderful meal, all of us were up for a singing session. Walked over to some "No-Rae Bang" or K-box as we, Singaporeans call it.
Sang, drank, ate ice-cream.. really had fun!

Ended about 3 hours later, my throat started to hurt so I thought of heading back home but Nooooooooo.. Mark insisted that I accompany them for another round of drinks so being as KIND and FRIENDLY as I was already, I went. haha =)
Had a few rounds of beer accompanied with fried chicken. Its like typical Korean lah.. Fried Chicken and beer, PERFECT combination. LOL. There were four of us who went, Me, Mark, Tettenji Oppa and Lea unni. We had a blast! Talking in Korean was the best part..haha =)
In the end, after hours of eating and drinking.. Mark was the first one "out". So we had to retire, sent Mark off in a cab and I made it back home SAFE and SOUND. Thank God.. haha

Had a MASSIVE headache this morning.. despite that, woke up early to meet J.L at Megabox Theatre. Caught a movie with her, some TOM CRUISE movie about the Nazi war. It was kinda interesting. Walked around I-Dae after that, bought a couple of clothes for myself. OH and a new earring for my trigus! I love it.. haha
Bought Ice-Cream cake from BASKIN ROBBINS then met Grace at the Subway Station. Took the train to Song-Nae where Mr and Mrs Ollagner were staying. Chilled out, another drinking session but it was red wine this time.. it was NICE okay? LOL.. Didn't drink much though, 3 and a half glasses was all I had. Dinner was GReAT!

Came home again before 11pm.. and here I am!
Ok I think I'm done now.. freaking tired! More updates tomorrow with the pictures taken today at JB's. Night all!

Sunset Glow - Big Bang

Ok first of all, I am aware that pictures I posted were limited but my SD card got screwed up halfway so ya. =(
Second.. LOVE the song, 'SUNSET GLOW' by Big Bang. Its got a catchy feel to it! haha

Spent two nights at Grandma's place, celebrated the Lunar New Year with halmuni, my uncles and their family. Took that 5 hour bus ride from Seoul to Kunsan, just as we got on the Expressway, it was snowing like MAD! Couldn't take a picture cause it wasn't clear.. -__-
1st Day of the new year, I got up bright and early.. us, Korean women had to be in the Kitchen, preparing breakfast while the men and kids basically "chilled".
Granny made a few dishes that I'm unaware of, but I knew that "tokk-Guk" was one of them.

Table was set up and food was placed on it. We had to 'kowtow' infront of them, as our way paying respects to uhh.. I'm not sure who.haha=) Then the grandkids had to do the same infront of my elders. In exchange we get MONEY! Obviously me, being the oldest Grand-daughter.. I get more lah... MUAAHAHHA!
Grandma then lead us into a 20 min prayer. She was thanking the Lord like dunno how many times! Good gracious.. She kept repeating, " Kamsa-hamnida Hanemin..AaaMEN."
haha.. =)

Breakfast was served and it was a damn good one! Too bad mom couldn't have some of that lovely soup! She sounded sad when I mentioned it to her on the phone. Oh well ~ Perhaps next year, I'd be able to cook for her then.
Relatives came to the house in the afternoon, ate, drank, be merry.. I was with the kids the whole time cause I wasn't familiar with the rest.

Slept like 2 am the next day, only had like a few hours of sleep cause Granny woke me up to have breakfast again. Packed my bags and then took the cab to the Terminal where I boarded the bus back to Seoul. I'm telling you..travelling up and down Kunsan is so tiring!

School tomorrow.. back to studying -__-

Hi hi hi..
Quick post before I head to bed.

Currently talking to Vanessa online..First it was all about make-up and its related topics, towards the end, the conversation switched to BOYFRIENDS. When will I EVER get one? haha..
Forget about me finding a Korean guy as my interest, that ain't gonna happen man. But I bet Mariah will go "gaa-gaa" when she ever gets her 'Japanese Bum' here for a holiday.

So its Saturday, first day of a really long weekend.
Chinese New Year's this coming Monday! Sweet Nibblets..
That's why I'm all packed up to leave for Kunsan tomorrow afternoon. Will be spending first 2 days of the Lunar New Year with the 'Maternal' side of the family. This should be interesting since it'll be my first! Word has it, that Snows coming down pretty heavy down there..
Dad told me to get out and play in the snow with my cousins.. haha =)

Alright, seeing that I din post for almost a week now and that everyone's telling me to do so.. I think I better do it today. hahaa =)

Let's see.. where shall I begin? OH! We can start with the pictures I posted. Obviously daddy came over to Seoul for a few days cause he missed his daughter. Muahahaha..
We met up right after he arrived at 'Gimpo' Airport on Tuesday night. My mom's cousins were kind enough to pick him and then brought us for Table BBQ dinner. Ironically, it was in Sinchon near my place. Later I found out dad wanted to stay in a hotel close to me.. haha
So yeah, the next day..I went to school as usual in the morning. Met Ji-Yeon first cause she's got things to hand me then we both went to pick dad up at his hotel. He wanted to check out the place I was living in so I brought him there.. Thank God he approves of it. haha =)

Made our way to Myeong-Dong to visit mom's friend who had been "looking after" me since I airrved here 4 months ago. Both dad and e-mo were happy to see each other.. I think 10 years already. And I was surprised he gobbled up most of the food on the table.. Mandu-guk, kimbap and kimchi. He obviously enjoyed it though..
Walked over to Namdaemun Market. Place PACKED with people man.. and it wasn't sunset yet. Then I remembered that Lunar New Year was well on the way so I'm guessing everyone's rushing to get last minute shopping. Dad managed to get some things for mom too.

Came back to Sinchon. Daddy bought me an Electronic English-Korean Dictionary for school use. And i love it! Its got so many features including MP3 player..
Sat down at Pasccuni Cafe for some coffee before getting up again for dinner at some restaurant.
Pu-Dae ChiGae!! And yet another meal that dad enjoyed and finished everything in the pot. haha =)

The next day, came home 30 mins earlier from school. Waited for my uncle to pick me and my dad up. Send dad to the airport.. Won't be seeing him for a few months i think. =(
Came back by bus.. Tired. haha =)
Thank God its friday.. Can hibernate for two days..

Thought it was time I uploaded some pics of my room. Recent pictures of course.

Anyway, I didn't go to church today. My bad, cause I totally woke up late this morning.. haha =) Spent the whole afternoon outside, I'm surprised the weather wasn't that cold today. But it was kinda foggy and all. I had lunch first at Burger King and then chilled out at some cafe to finish up the remaining notes for school.

After that, took a bus to Insa-Dong.. met J.L again at Starbucks. Walked around the place, trying to find 'THANK YOU' cards in Korean. So difficult.. pfft!
I managed to buy myself another winter jacket for school. Yay! I think its nice.. Cheap too.
Didn't have dinner cause J.L wasn't feeling well. Came back home, started talking to Mariah online and now I'm hungry.
Thank god for cup-noodles. haha =)

Ok.. school tomorrow. Gonna have my noodles and then hit the sac.

Whats up - 4 Non Blondes

Right this moment, there's only one thing I wish for.
SUMMER.

It started snowing heavily yesterday.. beautiful of course, but not my 'cup of tea'. Its cold, wet and my nose keeps "leaking" if you catch my drift. But then again, I was talking online this afternoon with my cousin whose living in the States.
The way she described the weather in New York, it got me thinking again.. "The place I'm in now is NOTHING compared to New York so I think I should just shut up about it now.. and take it like a 'man'!" For this case.. woman lah.

So didn't update blog for 3 days.. I speak the truth, too lazy and I've been engrossed with school -work now. I felt I needed to catch up on past term's work.. so ya.
But I did took the time off to meet J.L on Wednesday? Met her at the Hospital near my place cause she was getting her MRI scan done on that day. Looks like things ain't so pretty for her now that she "might" have to get surgery on her injured foot. Hope all's good J.L!
Went for dinner at some pasta place. Food's pretty alright! Spend the next few hours catching up since it was the first time I met her in almost 3 weeks! It was really good to see her..

Thursday and Friday was spent mostly at school and then Starbucks after that. Yeap, my life's pretty boring right? WELL FOR YOUR 411, I'm trying to focus on something important here.. That's the very first reason why I came here in the first place. On a lighter note, I can't wait for Lunar New Year cause I'll be taking a few days off and head down to the Country Side to visit my ah-ma and the rest of the 'KO' family. Of course, collect my Ka-chings! hahahaha..

Dad's already in Korea, just spoke to him online an hour ago. I won't get to meet him till a few days after, when he's done with work at Busan. I've got my eyes on a couple of things which I hope my dearest Father could help me purchase them. And also, hand him my present to Jackiee
whose Birthday was yesterday. I've wished her like so many times already so I don't wanna do it here again. haha!

Right, probably gonna head down to Insa-dong tomorrow, to meet J.L.
SHOPPING time baybeh!! Yay..
Oh! Speaking of which, bought new cosmetic foundation from LANEIGE.. guess how much? 20SGD only! Is that cheap or expensive? Mariah please tell me.. haha =)

Okay I know.. this was taken like last month? a few days before I left for Singapore.
Forgot to upload! hahaa.. I miss them like bucket loads!

Aside from that, I haven't been updating.
Its either I've got nothing much to say or I'm just busy catching up with school work. Speaking of school, I'm starting to dread it cause I have to drag my ass outta bed early in the morning and then get ready to walk 20 mins to school. *sigh..
I should seriously consider taking up motor-bike lessons.. that way, I can invest on a scooter and ride my way to school every morning. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...?

So yeah, I think I'm getting the hang of this language. I'm learning new things everyday, haven't made any friends from my class though?? but I don't care. I've got other peeps to hang out with.
My dad's coming down to Seoul in a week for a business trip. Well actually to BUSAN and then to visit me in Seoul after that. Yay! It hasn't been a month yet and I get to see my dad again. Wonderful. Will be missing Jackiee's 17th Birthday though.. which is a pity cause I've never missed her B'dae at all! And now she's "demanding" I sent her a gift from here.. bugga -__-

I'll just send her a thoughtful, filled with love..birthday card. hahaha
Will be meeting J.L tomorrow.. after soooo long! Can't wait to see her..

Okay.. I haven't updated for one day and Mariah's making a "hoo-haah" outta it. Tsk! haha. Kidding my friend. I love you. LOL!

So anyway, today's the official 'lessons-in-class' thingy. I din really get to meet my new classmates yesterday cause we were held up specific orientation sessions. Basically, we were split up for a day (orientation).. according to language proficiency. English, Japanese and Chinese. But since class started today, we're all brought back together again.

Okay, let's see.. this time, my class is made up of I think ,
4 Japs ( 3 girls+1 guy),
3 Chinese ( 1 girl+ 2 guys),
1 Indonesian fella,
1 "annoying" Vietnamese guy,
1 Canadian (married a korean woman-has a kid daughter) man,
1 American born Chinese dude whose name is Mike and is a freakin replica of Mike Harrison( previous classmate)

Like what are the odds man? I was ecstatic when I found out Mike Harrison wasn't in my class anymore cause I totally hated his ignorant attitude towards people. And just when we nicely introduced ourselves formally, I'm being "haunted" with another MIKE. I have no idea what his surname is though.. but the weird thing is, he's EXACTLY the same as the one before. Seriously, are ALL mike's like that? Jesuz.. Did I mention I am THE YOUNGEST in the class?!
Oh for crying out loud.. What happen to the "hunks" I was anticipating for?! Hahaha =)

Lesson's were pretty intense man. Like they're getting harder to understand? But i'm totally prep for it. Just need to stay calm and focus what's infront. Hope for the best though. I'm POSITIVE that there will be complains non-stop about this. BE PREPARED people.. After schoool, met up with ex-peeps for a few minutes..catching up and all. Then rushed back to my place to collect things for Ji Yeon whom I was to meet later.

Haven't seen that 'bundle of joy' in almost 2 weeks. Met her at Krispy Kreme cafe.. she looks tired though, working almost everyday. Poor thing! We had lunch at some restaurant, I personally would like to call it Korea's Pasta Mania. hahaha =) Good food at a fairly reasonable price.
We walked around after that, went over to the bank to run an errand, bought some more necessities for my room at some shop.My room is more or less organised. I've hung my mirror, managed to unpack my clothes and put them in boxes. I'm good to go for the next year. LOL

Seriously, THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY.. I could use the weekend to get some revision done. Probably gonna head over at HOLLY'S Cafe tomorrow, to study or something. Always works for me?

Right.. OH! Before I go, did I mention "Boys Before Flowers" Korea's Version of 'Hana Yori Dango' is out on TV? Good lord, I watched the first two episodes and literally FELL IN LOVE with F4 characters. They're WAY, WAY, WAY more good looking than the Japs and Taiwanese dudes. hahaha =)

Oh! And its not because I'm hungry, its been acting weird ever since I took some of Doc.Tay's miracle medicine. Sickening.

Okay, moving on! Woke up not too late, not too early either. Got dressed and made my way to school campus for the first time in... "i don't know.." 3 weeks?!
Nothing's changed of course.. haha
Reached school, managed to find out which class i've been posted to.. this term and by the looks of it, NONE of my previous classmates are in the same class as me. A part of me is 'rejoicing' cause I don't have to see that SUCKER anymore.. the other part, a little apprehensive cause I don't get to meet my friends often.

But then again, change is good right? New class means opportunity to make new friends. SO whatever, I'm cool. haha. Bought my school books. Guess I'll be doing alot of reading and interpreting the language this time round. -__-
Walked out of school, took the bus back to main district. Walked over to 'GRAND MART' to shop for school stuff and I don't mean CLOTHES! Its more like stationary, files, pens, notebooks and all that jazz. Came home after that, had dinner and dedicated whatever FREE TIME i have left, infront of my com.. watching clips from mysoju.

Right I think 15 minutes is up. Time for bed!

Okay.. I know it took like 6 days to say this, but here's wishing one and all a very "HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!!".

So I'm back in Korea. Left Singapore yesterday morning and reached Seoul in the evening. Can't believe 2 weeks of holiday just gone by like that. Well at least I managed to spend Christmas and New Year's with both family and friends. Mom, dad and Jackiee sent me to the airport that morning, a while later Andrea, Van, Angelia and Mariah came despite the fact I told them not to.
Haha..

Boarded the plane, the trip back to Incheon wasn't really a good one. Maybe because I din get much sleep the night before and couldn't do so on the plane. Oh! And I think I sprained my left bum cheek on the way. haha =) It hurts okay?
I couldn't take a cab back to my place from the airport cause it was just ridiculously expensive ( about $40..) so I took the airport bus as planned. An hour to Sinchon, I did get some 20 min shut eye. Dragged my heavy luggage through the busy streets and finally to my place and by the time I got through my door, I totally collapsed on my bed.

I never felt so tired before in my life! I think its worse than staying up all night doing nothing.
A while later, mom called to check if I was alright and in one piece. See lah, I'm missing her already. Damn it!
Didn't have the strength to unpack my bags immediately so I just quickly changed and slept. Finally woke up a few hours later, did a little bit unpacking. Realised that I haven't got much space to store my clothes. This is definitely going to be a problem.

School's about to start in a few days. Just checked online about which class i'm being placed in. I'm guessing there will be changes. New class means new people. Sigh* I wish J.L was still studying in my school, why did she have to transfer?! Don't understand.. haha =)

Tomorrow's the day for shopping. Although i wouldn't want to go out in the cold, I know I have to cause i need to get some supplies for school. Gonne turn in now..

Sweet JESUS..
Another 12 more hours till we wait the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009!
I cannot help but think how fast 365 days come and go. Best part is, I don't really recall what I actually did that made time pass so quickly.

Come to think of it, I din do much. Staying at home seemed to be the only thing I was doing. Until recently when I decided to further by studies by taking up Korean Language FULL TIME in Korea.
What was I thinking? I'm not regretting though..

Over the last few days, kinda spent time with two bunch of friends.
29th, met up with Angelia and Mariah first then waited for Vanessa. Had SAKAE SUSHI for lunch.. something I haven't had since I left Singapore 3 months ago. Then Van couldn't join us to town so we made our way there without her. Watched TWILIGHT for the second time. Did a little bit of shopping with the girls before taking the train back to the east.

The next day, woke up like freakin 6:30 in the morning for no good reason. Hung out till afternoon then made my to Parkway. Met Andrea on the bus 31.
Bought a pair of tights from COTTON ON, met Felicia who was late!.. Walked again to East Coast Park, sat at coffee bean and just chilled. That I like... =) Wesley came a while later. He looks like he lost weight. Poor boy.

He LOVINGLY droped us off at Bedok where we had our SCRUMPTIOUS dinner. Honestly lah, LOCAL food is the best. Better than all these western-fast-food outlets. No sense of ORIGINALITY.
Stupid things that people do nowadays, eating CARL'S JUNIOR at the bedok coffee shop. Like WTH? Buy from the outlet, EAT at the outlet lah... jesus.

Stomach full, walked to Felly's house. Din realise how much her place has changed. I think the last time I went there was High School years. Greeted her parents who were the only ones' at home during this festive season. Hung out again in Felly's room till it was time to go home.
Me and Andrea walked all the way to Tanah Merah staion where we parted ways.

Came home tired. But the day did not end there, mom was squabbling about me going to see the doctor. Too annoying to even mention here. I shall stop now.

So your 'probably' wondering why I haven't been updating my blog for a week now.

First of all, I wanted to mention something last week but couldn't so because it was suppose to be a BIG secret.

Now that the secret's out, I might as well mention it here right?!

I'M BACK IN SINGAPORE!

Yeap.. been planning my return with Dad for a week to surprise mom, Jackiee and the rest of the family as well as close friends.

And it totally pulled off! Haha.. the faces they made when they saw me, CLASSIC! Especially Jackiee, she burst out in tears. So now I know how much she's missed me. LOL

Took the morning SQ flight back to Singapore. Did I mention it was snowing when I got up that morning at 5.30am? Beautiful.
Anyway, 6 hours on Singapore Airlines was wonderful. Way better than Korean Air.. haha =)
I had countless screw-drivers as well as Bailey's on my way home. haha..
Arrived Changi Airport at 2pm, called dad up and he told me to take a cab home myself cause he was out with Mom and Jackiee ( it was part of the plan..) so I did that.

Found the key that dad left for me in the shoe box! haha =)
Came in, breathed in and out.. happy to be home after what seems like 1 year instead of 3 months. haha
Waited for the folks.. dad came in first then told me to get ready.. and then the other two came in and SURPRISE!! Totally freaked out.. haha
Mom took like 10 secs to figure out wad was going on and wasn't sure if i was real or an illussion.
But nonetheless, she was happy I came home for Christmas. Had dinner outside with the family and then met Van, Mariah, Angelia at Starbucks TM. Leeza and my sister joined us too.. It was just a really happy moment for me, being able to see my friends again. LOL

CHRISTMAS EVE
Evening, went for Mass at Trinity Church. Went over to Uncle Mike's place for supper. And yet another surprise to my other family members. No one knew I was coming home. hehe =)
My little cousin Marc was almost in tears too.. Love that kid.
Hung out, caught up with the aunts and uncles.. bla bla bla. Then came home before 2 am.

CHRISTMAS DAY!
The usual stuff.. Opened presents in the morning. I actually got presents from my family.. haha =) Guess they were thinking of sending them over to me in Korea. Apparently not!
Loved the gifts they got me and I hope they the ones I got them..
Towards afternoon, got ready to make our way to Jurong West for lunch at a family friend's place. Its like only once a year we get to meet each other so obviously it was good to see them.
Lunch was good! The usual Eurasian dishes.. I have a pic somewhere, will post some soon!
Hung out till evening, watchin CARS the disney movie with the kids.

Went over to Uncle Mel's place after that. Another feast awaits! And another group of people who have yet to realise that I was back in town. hhaaha =)

Found out later that my dear dear cousin DARREN, invited like 30 people over to his place. Imagine how cramp his house was! I just took shelter in his room, along with my two cousins and sister.
Dad was a little tipsy when we wanted to head home. Thankfully we got home in one piece.. haha

Tomorrow's the open house at my place.. Dad's started preparing some food this evening so we won't have to rush tomorrow. Long day awaits!
Cant wait to see andrea and felly.. =)

Gosh! Both my left arm and neck hurts from all shopping bags that I carried these past two days. HAHA! Oh ya.. as well as that HEAVY box that I finally brought back from JL's place. Can strike that off from my "to-do" list.

Anyway, spent the whole day outside in the cold weather. I must be MAD seriously.. haha =) Went over to JL's place first to collect my things, she accompanied me back to my place to drop the two boxes. After which, we made our way to the Theater nearby and got our tickets to watch "TWILIGHT". Jackiee and Andrea were absolutely right.. they cut out so many scenes from the book. What the hell lah, just seeing both Edward Cullen and Jacob Black on screen, totally satisfied me. LOL! Oh.. and not to mention the awesome music soundtracks. Well JL enjoyed it?! Cause she din even read the book..-___-

Movie ended at 7pm. We were'nt hungry cause of all the popcorn we had earlier.. so we took the bus to INSA-DONG. Been there the second time actually.. haha=) Shopped around..bought some stuff then came back home. Too cold to hang out! LOL.. Cleaned up my room abit now that i've got everything back with me.. organised and all that. Looks pretty neat now than before, I ASSURE you.

Its been two days since I came back from Kunsan and today's weather was exceptionally COLD. I found out later that it was -2 degrees outside. Jesus..

So anyway, been out since afternoon with Ji-Yeon. She had her off day from work so we decided to run some errands first before making our way to Myeon-Dong to meet Olivia. My day started when I woke up late. haha. Dashed out to get ready and met Ji yeon at Mok-dong station..

Walked to the immigration office to settle my residency in Korea.. and after waiting almost 1 hr and 20 mins , it was FINALLY my turn.

But just as I sat down and handed the officer my documents, she told me I had to make my way to Incheon to get it done.

I was like "WHAT?! After all that waiting?". I was told by one of the staffs that i called yesterday, that I could do it at mok-dong. Like what the hell sia.. Piss me off only. Felt so bad for Ji Yeon at the same time..

So anyway, we took the subway to Myeong-Dong..met Olivia and later walked around the shopping streets. Another place I should take Mariah to when she EVER happens to come here..

The things there are seriously to DIE for man! haha =)

Bought a couple of stuff for peeps as well as myself. And I'm totally satisfied. Olivia later brought me and Ji Yeon to Insa-dong, a tourist attraction. Din stay long cause it was getting late and all.

Took the bus back to Sinchon with J.Y..

TIRED SIA. Feet pain some more.. tomorrow's another long day i think.

Gotta get up early and make my way to Incheon. Know hoe FAR that place is? its like Tampines to Woodlands man. Sickening..

Hi Hi Hi!
I'm finally back in Seoul.. after my one week stay at my grandma's. I would say that staying at the Country side kinda gave me new experiences. So now I can say, " Yeap.. I did get taste of living in country side..".

I've fulfilled mom's as well as my wishes by spending time with grandma and my little cousins. Although the stay was a short one, I've made it a point to at least drop by to Kunsan TWICE a month.. maybe spend the weekend? LOL.
Definitely coming over again during LUNAR NEW YEAR.. for those of you who are smart enough to know why.. haha =)

So I got up at 8am. Had the last breakfast prepared by my ah-ma.. could tell she was sad cause she kept quiet the whole time and watch me eat. That is sooo unlike her..
I came to Kunsan with my backpack and luggage. After packing all my things, I'm left with 1 luggage, my backpack, my sling bag and a hand-carry luggage. Wonderful.

Said my goodbye's.. did i mention almost everyone (my granny's friends) came to send me off!
My uncle called a cab for me, granny accompanied me to the Bus terminal.
She told me what any grandparent would say.. "eat well, rest well, pray everyday, don't forget to study hard.. any problems, i'm only a phone call away..". The usual.

Trip back to Seoul was a real fast one. 2 and a half hours to be exact..
I took a cab back to my new place.. I've kinda settled in now, more or less. Room's kinda small but at least I don't have to share with another person!
Praise the Lord.. this is my ZONE now.. no one can barge in.
Left my place again to go meet JiYeon for dinner. When she saw me after 2 weeks, she immediately told me I LOST WEIGHT. Wow.. I hope so man.. haha =)

Had table BBQ for dinner. Sorry Mariah and Van, this was WAY better than Seoul Garden.. haha! sat there for two hours, catching up on what we've been doing. Then I found out she's currently on 3 month holiday. WOW! Lucky..
Did a little bit of shopping.. I was seriously in a shopping mood. haha. More shall be done tomorrow. Came back after having some coffee at Starbucks.. then the lady at homestay, explained the rules and regulations of the place.

I'm totally satisfied. No doubt about it.
Ok then.. Will be posting Pics of Kunsan as well as the room I'm living in for the next year or two. LOL.

Booya!

I'm all alone at home.. Grandma's out since this morning and if I remember correctly (cause I was still sleeping then..) she went to Church. Yea that's what I thought too.. on a Thursday? Probably doing her usual Charity work I guess.

So I got up at 12pm. Felt so hungry cause I din eat much last night. Just as I hoped my grandma cooked something different for a change, she didn't. haha =)
I've been eating Kimchi Soup for 4 days now.. not that I'm complaining. And now I'm craving for some fried chicken. haha

Din do much throughout the rest of the afternoon.. I mean what CAN I do right? haha =)
Bummed around my uncle's room where the computer is. Surfed the net, bought some stuff online.. watched a couple Taiwanese dramas.
And then I did the most RISKY thing of my life.. Its embarrasing for me to say this, but I DID'NT bathe the whole day yesterday cause it was too cold and the water was FREEZING. Trust me, I couldn't NOT bathe. So I decided to take a shower today.

WRONG MOVE! I was practically doing my little "dance" while showering cause it was kick-ass cold. After I got out of the bathroom.. immediately RAN to my room, changed and got under the blanket and stayed there till I was warm enough. COLD..
Soon after, two cousins came by after school. They tell me they do this everyday.. come here have dinner then walk back home.

Its almost 7.30pm.. Grandma's not back yet.. she went on a date or what? HAHA
Done lah.. gonna rummage through her fridge and see what edible food I can eat. Probably Lots and LOTS of Kimchi. Better than nothing right?

HELLO!

To tell you the truth, I was able to get online these past few days but I couldn't understand why I could not access into my blogger. THUS, I've been missing out on updates. Haha.. =)

So I'm currently enjoying my first week of holidays at my granny's. Its so good to see her after so freakin long, 6 years to be exact. She literally "kicked" the main door open when I was outside, calling her name. Haha.. Still as powerful as before.

At first I thought I was gonna screw with the communication thing with my Grandma.. but apparently, all's pretty good. I sorta understand her and she totally understands what I'm saying cause half the time, I'm playing "Sherades". HAHA! Its true okay??

Didn't meet my cousins and their parents till the day after. My aunt and uncle were so happy to see me.. I was too of course. And don't get me started on my two little cousins. The boy's all grown up of course.. and the girl! So pretty.. mom was right.

Today, we celebrated 할머니's birthday..

Wahlau, unbelieveable.. I slept at 3 in the morning, and had to get up at 7 for birthday breakfast. Obviously, I forgot to snap some pics cause I was still in the sleeping mode. I mean c'mon! IT'S SNOWING!!
Like really HEAVY snow man.. and its beautiful!
Too bad I didn't take any pictures.. but even if I did, it wouldn't come out nice or even VISIBLE for the camera to capture cause it only started snowing at night when I got home from J.L's place.

YES.. I went there again this afternoon to drop off a huge box as well as a few shopping bags of my things. Finally that parts all over.. I'm now left with my small luggage and my backpack which I'm to bring along with me on my trip on my granny's place tomorrow morning.

Oh yeah.. Did I mention I've fallen sick again? The weather might have been to cold for my fragile body to take it. SO now i'm down with a cough and a blocked nose. Sickening..
THANK the LORD he send J.L to my aid.. she picked me up by a cab and brought me over to her place (along with my things of course..) then made me chicken soup for dinner. JUST WHAT I NEEDED. haha =) Besides, totally skipped lunch today so that soup totally satisfied me. LOL

Came home just before 8pm. Just as I got out of J.L's apartment building, it was already snowing.. I can't really describe it to you lah cause it wasn't the same as the first one i saw few weeks back. And I wasn't that COLD either? Weird but I guess that's how it is.

Right.. so I forgot to mention also that this might be my LAST post for the week. The whole of next two weeks, might not be able to update my blog. Cause I've got this damn gut feeling my granny doesn't have Internet connection at her place. But if there so happen to have an Internet Cafe, I'm more than willing to do it of couse.

So anyway, woke up rather early this morning cause I suddenly felt so cold! Like I was practically shivering and my teeth clattering together. So I got up to check if the window was close and whether the heater's warm enough. APPARENTLY NOT. The windows were closed but the heater wasn't working at all man! WHY?! I have no idea cause it can only be controlled from downstairs where some dude is in-charge. So yes, throughout the whole afternoon, I felt like i was trapped in a HUGE storage freezer. I had like a jumper AND a jacket on the whole time. BUGGA!

Did laundry as well as the remaining packing of things. I'm more or less done.. then at around 6 plus, left my dorm.. along with my huge luggage as well as another bag and made my way to J.L's apartment. Left my stuff there for the time being.. had dinner with her of course!
Like I said, I seem to enjoy home-cooked food better than instant. haha!
Left her place at 10pm and I just came back to my room promptly at 11pm. TIRED.
More packing to do but it'll be totally done after that. NO MORE.

Gonna have to turn in early tonight. Gotta get up early and attend some mass in the campus itself. There's gonna be kids performing for EARLY Christmas.. might as well go watch it right?

But then again, even better.. its the LAST DAY of school! Yayness.. no more waking up at the crack of dawn.

So went to school in the morning as usual..didn't really do any studies though. We were just talking and talking and talking non-stop. The next thing I knew, we were up and about, snapping pictures here and there with classmates and teachers.

After we said our goodbyes to our 'hardworking' teachers, the rest of us.. gathered for the last time to have lunch at some INDIAN restaurant. Did I mention how freakin COLD the weather has seriously become. And by this, I don't mean 10 degree temperature.. we're talking about sub zero temperatures. CRAZY.. the strong wind was practically "biting" my face so thankfully I managed to buy myself a face-mask as well as ear-muffs for my precious ears. I think they might fall off if I don't protect them. Haha =)

Yea so after lunch, walked really quickly with J.L to Megabox cause we wanted to watch a movie. HOWEVER... there were'nt any nice ones showing and TWILIGHT had not been released yet. BUGGA. So in the end, we had coffee at Starbucks and did some photo printing later after that.
We decided to head home cause it was too cold to even do anything!
Came home.. started packing untill now.. haha =)

How's it going everyone? Good? Bad?
You know what.. I don't wanna know. haha =)

Anyway, it has definitely been an INTERESTING day today.. Reason being, its the second last day of school and the best part is, we STILL have to study from our textbooks.. both today and tomorrow. Seriously, does this make any sense at all? Haha..but then hor, i think its because there's two more chapters left in our textbooks and they want us to complete it.
BUT STILL!

During 3rd and 4th period, all 5 classes went down to the auditorium for the SPEAKING COMPETITION. There were some who were really good and others, either their B-O-R-I-N-G or I just don't understand a word that comes out of their mouths. haha =)
The winner of the competition was some MONGOLIAN dude but personally, I felt that Jonathan ( this fella from the States) should have won cause he's was really good. Don't ask me why they didn't choose him.

After school, took the subway to Express Bus Terminal Station. FINALLY found the terminal I was looking for. My second attempt was a success! So basically, I know where to head to when I leave Seoul to Kunsan on Monday.. which reminds me, I'm so "effing" nervous to meet my mom's side of the family. Its been what? Almost 10 years? PLUS, my Korean isn't so PERFECT so I'm afraid that I'll be making countless mistakes when I try to communicate with my Grandmother.
*sigh..
Well, let's hope for the best yea?

Came home after that. Rather early actually, temperature dropped like 5 degrees down when i came back. DANG.. another thing to anticipate. HEAVY Snow..
Heard that many places in Korea will be snowing tomorrow. But I'm not sure about here (seoul) though..They're what I call, UNPREDICTABLE weather.

Okay first of all, I'm experiencing a HUGE headache now. I just popped some aspirin and waiting for myself to go drowsy, which I think will happen just after I complete this post.

So guess what?
I'm happy and relieved to say that I've completed my FINAL exams yesterday and amazingly received the results TODAY. How fast is that?? I LOVE IT. I don't have to wait and anticipate as to whether I pass or not. So the outcome of me sitting for this examination?
I PASSED! haha =)
Yayness! I'm so thrilled and happy and I wasn't even expecting it in the first place. LOL!
So I'm definitely on my way to the next Level during Winter Term which is in January. Holidays begin this Friday which means I have a months holiday!

Went out to lunch with J.L after school.. she did a little bit of shopping on the way. haha
Then I took that extremely LONG train ride to Incheon to get my bloody VISA done. Did I mention I had to wait an hour and 15 mins till it was MY turn? Ridiculous. And the officer was no better! Bloody rude B***h! She's definitely on my HATE LIST now..
Came back home after buying dinner. So tired.. and that's when my headache started.
Why is the aspirin not kicking in yet??!

Oh.. did some packing just now. Finally about to leave this dorm and live elsewhere.. I'm thrilled!
No more noisy constructions, irresponsible roomate to deal with anymore.

As I sit here about to type out about what I've done today, my room-mate's making a big 'HOO-HA' at the back cause she's rushing to send in her job application form online and she has till 12 midnight to do it. Tsk tsk.. bad time management. haha =)

So anyway, its the LAST day of November. We're about to welcome long-awaited December in an hour or so..
It's kinda sad actually, cause this means we're closer to Christmas and the thought of spending it WITHOUT my family and friends just totally breaks my fragile heart. I'm serious! =P

Got up abit late this morning, but even if I was late.. I still attended mass cause its the First Sunday of Advent! Experienced a whole new way of celebrating First Advent.. too bad I din take any pictures during mass for fear I was being rude and all..
So after mass, took that LOOONNG train ride to Kangnam station. Was gonna find that Express Bus Terminal that my mother was talking about. Wanted to see if I could buy my self a bus ticket to my Grandma's place in advance.. but as soon as I got there, I was LOST. The place was HUGE!

After an hour hanging out at the place, I didn't get the information I needed so I left.
Told myself I need to get the full details from mom so I can go back again. *sigh
Was thnking of heading to COEX mall ( some well-known place in Seoul..) but it was getting late so I figured, I'd head back to Sinchon. Trains were PACKED with people.. its Sunday man, that's why. Bought dinner on the way back home.. TIRED sia.

Oh yes.. so guess wad? Tomorrow's my main exam paper and I'm SOOOOOOO not ready for it man. I'm TOAST! Infact, I should take this opportunity to say that shoving almost 50 different grammatical senteces into my brain is just IMPOSSIBLE for me. I'm serious people.. -__-
I'm dead.. and I'm gonna keep telling myself that. It'll take a MIRACLE to pass this..

Even if I studied for the past week, I still don't effing understand most of it.
*sigh.. Done lah

TYPICAL. J

ust came back home from dinner outside. Was gonna meet up with a bunch of friends but the thought of "hanging" outside in the cold just gave me the SHIVERS already. So I decided to stay indoors throughout the day and only went for dinner 2 hours ago.

As I was saying... Are you all wondering why my first word of this post, 'TYPICAL' is written? There's a funny story to it..
I was heading out to Sinchon for dinner today but headed out early cause I wanted to see if those GORGEOUS pair of shoes was still at the shop. So there I was looking around the place when all of a sudden this group of what looks like young CHINESE people came up to me.

"Excuse me Miss, but you look like you can speak English..Can you help us?". Some guy spoke to me.
So I said yeah sure, they wanted to go to the nearest subway station but didn't know where it was. Yeah.. I got lost too when I first came here.. haha =)
Then I gave them the directions. So as I was talking to the dude, the other peeps who accompanied him were speaking among themselves so loud, obviously I could hear them.

"No lah.. I don't think so. Where got so expensive one? That Namdaemun place I think got better and cheaper one you know??".
Second impression? MUST be SINGAPOREANS. Definitely.. I wanted to challenge my intuition so after telling him the directions I just asked, " You guys from Singapore?".
All of them looked at me with some kind of surprise on their face.. so I said, ME TOO.

"Oh! we thought you were American, cause you sound like one."? -__-
What the hell? Haha =) Sound like one doesn't mean I AM one? Jackasses.
So we stood there, about 5 minutes.. asking me what the hell I was doing here, in Seoul.Like Duh?? Study lah.. but how would they know right? So off they went.

I can't believe how Singaporeans turn out to be so unique. Like once the words, LAH, LOR, WAHLAU or LEH.. come out of one's mouth, INSTANTLY you know their Singaporeans. Haha =) I'm proud to be one. Well SOMETIMES. haha =)

Right.. That was one hell of an experience.. And actually the first few Singaporeans I've met since I've been here in almost 3 months! Which I forget to mention this before, I'm the ONLY Singaporean in my school. Well at least for my term.. Unbelievable!

Honestly speking.. I should be studying right now cause I've got an EXAM tomorrow! But then again, I've been at 'it' since the time I woke up. Reading and flippin pages non-stop and STILL, I don't understand some things. That's what you get for learning a completely new Language.

So anyway, its been raining since morning which definitely making the weather much colder. I'm even stupid enough to wear my top, pullover, skirt, leggings, ankle socks and chucks. WONDERFUL Catherine.. What was I thinking?!
School as usual.. seems like today's the last lesson before exams start next week. And again, I'M NOT READY. Had lunch with JL after class then walked to Severance Hospital for her doc's appointment. I took the liberty to be a good friend and accompany her there since it was nearby.

Did I mention she's got an tremendously HEAVY bag? For a moment I thought I was carrying like a dead animal or something. Then I realised that she brought along a bag of 5kg Cajun Rice.
-__- my goodnes. So there I was, doing somemore studying while waiting for J.L go through a series of consultations and all that. B-O-R-I-N-G.
Then came to a point whereby she needed to pay her respects to one of her school's director who recently passed away. So we walked over to the Funeral Home where the Funeral was being held.

OF COURSE I din go in.. I wasn't even dressed properly for crying out loud.
I decided to sit at a nearby STARBUCKS. Bought meself an Ice Moccha and basically studied again..Gosh the word 'STUDY' is starting to annoy me. haha =)
She came back to collect her bag then took off in a cab. I wanted to head home but figured I'd stay longer cause I was in a really comfortable position. Besides, didn't think the consturction outside my dorm had stopped so ya.

Had dinner before walking back home in the COLD freezing weather. I'll make sure to put on warmer clothes tomorrow.
FACEBOOK is amazing.. don't know why I wasn't IN-TO it a year ago. haha =)
In after sooooooo long, I managed to find all my family members who were either living overseas or have not met them in a really long time. Just found out that I have an Uncle/Cousin living in Australia. haha =)

Right.. This was suppose to be a short post but look wad happened?

I'm seriously craving for a nice cup of PEARL MILK bubble tea but this time with EXTRA pearls.
I'd do anything for it now.. haha
Should I just ask Jackiee to send the ingredients to me and I do it myself? Or maybe I should search online and see if there's a place in SEOUL that might sell this wonderful drink. See lah, DESPERATE now..

Anywho, just took off my face mask and now it feels refreshing! It felt so bloody dry the whole afternoon.. must be the cold wind beating against my skin. Pfft!
So wad interesting things happened these past few days? Hmmmmmmmmmm...?
Sunday, slept in the whole afternoon. I did study but gave up after 2 hours cause I was just feeling so tired. Oh yes, still had nose bleed. -__-

Monday, met Ji Yeon after school. Had dinner at some Japanese restaurant.. delicious! Walked around the rotary before making our way to the HASOOK-JIB where the ahjummah was waiting for us. So its official! I'll be moving into the new place on the 20th of next month, after returning from my ah-ma's crib. Speaking of which, made plans to go there on the 9th.. and celebrate her birthday with the rest of the family. I'm excited and nervous at the same time.
BUSY~BUSY~BUSY !

Today. I actually paid abit more attention in class than on normal days..maybe because the lesson was rather interesting and I actually understood what the teacher was saying in Korean. LOL. After class, made my way to Myeong-dong to visit my aunt at her restaurant.
*Sigh.. her SON was there again! haha =)
So I spent 2.5 hours there, had my lunch and then did my homework which he so helped me with! Ee-mo accompanied me to pay my handphone bill and then to the bank to run an OVERSEAS errand for my mom. I'm in Korea and I STILL have to run errands for my parents. PERFECT.

Bought a couple of things at Sinchon before settling down at 'Cafe Pascunni' to do more studying. As the sun went down and the moon appeared, I packed my stuff and came home. I don't uderstand WHY my body feels like crap. Its like my minds working and wants to do things, but just doesn't send the message to my motionless body. I feel tired all the time! And now I realised just today, that when I cough out my phlegm ( ya okay.. its disgusting) there's blood in it!

I think my body's seriously breaking down. Told my mom about it when she called earlier in the evening, she INSTRUCTED me to visit the doctor tomorrow. But like HELLO? In Korea, no such place as Private clinic.. have to go HOSPITAL to see a doctor and get diagnosed. You think I wanna go through all that? And think of how much it'll cost man?! NO NO NO..

I should just get some rest and drink lots of water. Ya, I think i'll do that.
Okay.. done blogging, gonna hit the books again.

Wonderful day today!

Got up at 10 this morning, despite being a Saturday.. Met Ji Yeon again outside Macs at Sinchon Rotary. Walked over to Grand Mart to get fresh ingredients for today's dinner at J.L's place. Its more like a House-Warming party and early Thanksgiving at the same time. haha =)

Since J.L broke her foot and can hardly do the walking around, I volunteered to cook up a few dishes. Well, I had to admitt that I miss cooking after two months living here! haha. So what were the dishes I cooked today? My favourite Mac and Cheese and Two Roasted Chickens with wild mushrooms. DEE-LII-CIOUS! No doubt it.. I din realise I can cook those in the first place! haha =)

J.B and his Fianc`e came over just before the chickens were done. While waiting, we just sat around and chi-chatted. Had dinner..Yummy! Ate, drank, laughed and basically just had FUN. Well at least Ji-Yeon was! haha.. She really did enjoy herself since it was the first time I introduced her to my classmates. Washed up for J.L then left at 1030pm with J.B.. Me and Ji-Yeon took the bus back to Sinchon..still talking non-stop about things we want to do in the mere "FUTURE".

Send her off to her bus stop, just outside my place. Came home.. shagged and sleepy. Oh! And then my nose started bleeding like crap. Thank God dad was online cause I din really know wad to do. Haha.. I think I got mom worried there for a minure. So according to dad, my body's a little heaty so that's wad caused it I guess.
Right.. I think I'm done now. I ought to get some rest now..

A Strange Education - The Cinematics

Hi Hi Hi!
Awesome yet tiring day I must say! But then again, TGIF!
Finally, weekend's here.. no need to get up at the crack of dawn to get ready for school. haha =)

Speaking of school, went to there as usual in the morning. TONS of homework to be done over the next two days.. but I'm totally cool with it. Cause I think its HIGH-TIME I started on revising my work over the last few weeks of term II.
Came straight home after that, started on some of my homework..while surfing the net as well. Then evening, showered, got dressed and ready to meet Ji-Yeon and 'Olivia' at DongDae-Mun shopping street. Did the OBVIOUS thing duhhhh? SHOPPING of course.

This girl here ( that's me..) went completely NUTS and bought herself a new coat and a pair of comfy boots for winter. Totally satisfied with it.. All these for less than 100SGD.
Had my favourite Coffee Mocha Latte at some cafe before making our way back. I think we did like 4 hours shopping, including dinner of course. Waited ETERNITY for my bus when I got off at Sinchon. Then mom called me on my cell, wondering where the hell I was at 12am.
Parents can never stop worrying even if ur MILES away from them. Not saying its a BAD thing though.. haha =)

Came back like 20 mins ago. Just uploaded the pics we took today.
I think I should get to bed now. Long DAY awaits tomorrow or rather today?.. I've been invited to a Thanksgiving Dinner at JL's and I can't wait! Post an update soon.

Hello!
I know.. its been DAYS since I last updated. Thank You very much, Van and Mariah for letting me know that I wasn't "responsible" enough to do so. >_<>

Anyway, I've witnessed an amazing thing today! I've experienced SNOW for the first time in my life!
Ya okay, for those who've seen it already, "Whoopee" to you.. but this is not about YOU!
I've never encountered this before in my almost 20 years of living and now that I've gotten this wonderful chance, I'd APPRECIATE it if ya'll keep your negative comments to yourself, thank you very much!

MOVING ON.

Mom called me last night to tell me that it might snow today, so she told me to keep warm and all that jazz. I seriously din think it was gonna snow this soon cause its not even December yet? But just to safe, I wore what I thought might keep me warm. Hehe.. =)
So after school, had lunch at the cafeteria with J.L since she couldn't really walk and all with that broken ankle of hers.

I was sitting just opposite the HUGE window where i could see "everything" outside. I couldn't stop telling J.L how much I thought I'll die during winter cause its soo freakin cold. Then all of a sudden, I saw "particles" flying around outside and I thought to myself,
"What the hell is that? Someone burning paper or what?".. And J.L turns around to see what the fuss was about. "Oh my Goodness! Its bloody hell snowing!"

I was like.. "HUhhhhhhhh?!". Haha.. funny shit I tell you.
Well anyway, I waited till we were done eating and then send J.L off in a cab. That was when I actually took the time to feel it and see it for the first time.
How can I describe it? First of all, I din expect it to look that way? haha.. Its like ice-shavings falling from the sky. AH!! More like ice-kachang ( the ice..) ! That's the perfect way to describe it. haha =)
Mom told me to make a few wishes so i did at the BUS STOP! Another funny thing.

Took the bust to town. Did some financial errands at the bank before making my wy to my favourite cafe. STARBUCKS! Bought myself an AMERICANO, sat down and literally studied my ass off for 4 hours. Went I realised it was getting dark.. bought dinner from burger king before walking back home in the COLD, shivering weather. Oh ya.. it only snowed for an hour but more will come! haha =)

Just realised that someone's birthday is well on the way.. and I'm not there to CELEBRATE with her! Dang it.. Must remember to send my well wishes to her.. haha =)

Ok I'm done. School tomorrow then its the weekend! Going out for some girl time with Ji Yeon and "Olivia" tomorrow night!
