PEEKTURES!
Okay now.. To SOME OF you, this may not be interesting. But its a BENEFIT for me cause I can actually look back at this sometime in the future.. IF THIS BORES YOU, do yourself a favour and close this window. The 'X' is at the top right hand corner of your screen. ^_^

This particular street that I stood on is called, WEDDING STREET.
Cause there are sooo many wedding boutiques! This is just after EWHA WOMEN's UNIVERSITY.

NAMSAN TOWER as we know it..
Kinda foggy though?

NAM DAE MUN MARKET
I was so tempted to walk into this famous street but decided to leave till next week when I come here again with Ji-Yeon.

That's CITY HALL Building.. (the one with the clock)
I think Singapore's is NICER. haha =)

DEOK SU GUNG PALACE.. Historical Site No. 124
This was taken outside.
I was a little hesitant on whether I should go in or not.And I DID! Taken inside.. at the MAIN GATE called,
DAEHANMUN

They were showing some Autumn Music and Performance Festival.
Traditional of course..

There you go.. Behind the stage is JEUKJODANG.
Where King Gwanghaegun, Injo and Emperor Sunjong ascended the throne in that building.
It actually burned down in 1904 but rebuilt a year later.

Ahh.. this one is interesting..
I stood there like 20 mins, capturing the ambience of the place.
JUNG-HWA-JEON
It is the main hall of the entire Palace. Emperor Gojong conducted state affairs and held official functions.

KING SEJONG..
KOREA's beloved King of all Kings.
He's the "dude" who created the KOREAN LANGUAGE or HANGEUL..
You gotta know your History.. haha =)

It reads as follows..
KING SEJONG THE 'GREAT'.

(Second and third lines are the Korean alphabets he created..)

These steps or COURT STONES that are located just outside the Main Hall, indicates which rank of Royal CIVIL or MILITARY OFFICIALS should be standing on during official meetings or functions. The nearer you stand near the hall (where the King sits), the more HIGHER the rank will be.

That's where the KING sits of course.
The ROYAL THRONE..

Inside the HALL, check out the Interiors of the ceiling!

Previously known as SEOKJOJEON,
it is a stone building used by Emperor Gojong to receive Foreign envoys during the time of the GREAT KOREAN EMPIRE.
Construction began in 1900 and completed 9 years later.
Bla bla bla.. now its a NATIONAL MUSEUM where Korea's ancient art-affects are kept.

Some Fountain.. No name to it! ahaha =)

JUN-MYEONG-DANG

It was once used as a KINDERGARTEN for Princess Deokhye.
It was burned down in 1904 but rebuilt a year later.

Resting feet.. haha =) CAM WHORE!

GWANG-MYEONG-MUN

It was originally the front gate of Hamnyeongjeon. It was moved to its current position in 1938 during the Japanese Rule. It is now used to display space for the Buddha Bell from HEUNGSHEONSA TEMPLE.

Close up..

So there you go.. after this picture, my camera died on me. Could have taken more but..
haha.. Learned something so far?
